Fine dining in a relaxed fashion. liked it.Compared to Europe quite affordable fine dining restaurant. Quality of food and service is perfect. A real alternative to regular fine dining, sitting on a bar stool might not be everyones thing.
The wait staff said the chef suggested medium is the best for this pork.
Then I ordered medium.
If what the picture shows is medium, then how about medium rare?
Staff said because it is slow cook.
I think slow cook is a method, how it done is a level.
More important, tasteless when pork is at medium rare.
The yellow chicken roll is bad. Dry and no favor.
Same starter for a whole year. No changes but more poor presentation.
The one presents with dry ice is last year.
The signature mash potato used too much butter, and the decor is missing this time.
I know it’s just a lunch, but it’s from a Michelin 3 stars.
Consistency do matter.
Won’t go back for dinner.
There is just no getting around: if you crave for what French cuisine has the best to offer you have to visit one of the Ateliers. The ubiquitous puree is such a brilliant revisit of a memory shared within the western world, and elevated to a work of art. Each and every dish is an amazement to the palate. A must-go.
Great as usual. Good service but a bit too much, no privacy during the whole dinner, always someone around. Food quality, good standard as usual. Lobster was great. Of course pricey. Only go for special days.
Service was excellent from the moment we stepped in. We were ushered to seats and were attended to promptly from start till end. The sommelier recommended a really good wine to our liking. The servers were attentive and took note when I had taken a much closer look at the wine glass (it was really dusty and was changed immediately after we voiced our observation). We opted for the dinner tasting menu (which can be quite alot for a small eater). Everything was well made though each dish was more salty than I'd like. The only complaint I had was that the food was a little slow and we ended up taking close to 3 hours to finish our meal.
The ambience and service were very good. Sadly, the Waygu main meal I ordered was not. The steak was full of sinew and cutting it with the knofe supplied was hard work. Chewing it was tougher. On reflection, I should have sent it back The machiatto I sent back. One sip and the bitterness was beyond the richter scale.
L'Atelier de Joël Robuchon has a nice modern ambiance. Food was fresh, delicious and beautifully presented. Staffs were very cheerful and considerate. We loved dining here sooooooo much. It's definitely worth splashing out on this 3 Michelin-starred 3 star restaurant.
Lunch here today and selected the set menu. Fully lived up to the reputation of a Michelin-starred restaurant.
A romantic place perfect to a couple to have a date in also family, friends ect. The food here perfect delocious.
Fabulous, but still have not forgiven them for giving my wife food poisoning and refusing to admit to it.
A well-deserved Michelin star. Had Google Map allowed me to give more than 5 stars, I would have certainly done so. It is far superior to all restaurants that I rated 5 stars before.
I had lunch with my wife in May 2017 to celebrate her birthday. The lunch set, priced from HK$598 to HK$858 per person plus 10% service charge, was a great deal.
All the dishes were heavenly. We particularly liked " Sea bream and French green bean in 'sushi' style with imperial caviar" and " Maine lobster spaghetti with coral emulsion".
Michelin 3 stars. Don't ask about the price. Byob not allowed even if you are prepared to pay cockage fee.
For 3 Michelin stars it was definitely a disapintment. Service wasn't tentative and the food wasnt that great. The menu has barely changed for the longest time. Out of all robuchons in the world I would say the Hong Kong one lags behind a mile.
Top notch dining experience. Excellent service. Cozy environment with where you can watch the chefs prepare your delicious dishes. Lets you pretend to be a judge in Iron Chef.
Went for lunch on a public holiday. In the past I avoided this place when I can, because of a spectacluar miss at a spectacular price. But on this day most high end restaurants were closed.
Well, to my surprise, things turned out to be quite good. Around HK$1,500 for two for a five course meal with coffee, mineral water but no wine. Beats many places in town for lunch.
At a more recent lunch at a French steakhouse in Wanchai, which should remain nameless, the same amount bought us lunch for three. But we had a small flank steak (yes, flank), unlimited potatoes (whoopie), and a bowl of unremarkable salad to share. Two of us had dessert. Coffee not included. What a joke. I would choose Robuchon any day.
Surprisingly inconsistent appetizers and mains for this price point and this reputation, with quality from the truly special to over cooked slabs of beef. What is consistent is the best dessert trolley in town, attentive service and great coffee.
Wow. Highly recommended. Best so far, compared to those in Singapore and Bangkok. Service was top notch and food was well presented and delicious. We especially loved the huge platter of freshly baked bread at the start.
Great 8 course meal that had unpretentious food (no liquid nitrogen nonsense) but ended up paying 4.5k for two people. Probably a once in a lifetime experience.
My first 3-Michelin Star experience. I loved everything. From the interiors, to the staff, and the food. The staff is so attentive. We had lunch and we were seated near the kitchen counters. We were able to see the chefs working. Too bad the Strawberry dessert ran out though.
The worst experience this year. The service was the worst I've had in years, how did these people even qualify ? Leaning over in front of the guests to serve you, pouring wine like a ten year old, taking up the glasses and pouring with the bottle throat into the glass. My water glass was empty for most of the meal until I had to tell them. The food was at most mediocre. Kitchen staff and chef where just standing and laughing and food took way to long and was actually cold when we got it. Anyway, if you enjoy 3 star dinners in places like Geranium or otherwise, dont expect it here.
