Love this place – it is essentially a hole in the wall but in my opinion is the best char sui restaurant in Hong Kong.

Me and my buddies will often pop in (it has got a few tables inside) and get a trio sampler of pork, suckling pig, and goose washed down with a cold can of beer. Simple and perfect.

We ordered a platter of char siew, roast pork & goose. Paid extra for goose thigh, as advised by the waitress. It was so fatty it didn’t have much meat to it. The meats were badly chopped up, tough and very salty. Very baffled by the good reviews. We all said it was our worst meal in HK.

The food was good. They don't have an English menu. Go with pork/duck with noodles/rice and they wont get it wrong. I'm not a pork person but the rest of my dinner party enjoyed their roasted pork with rice. I had the goose over noodles, and it was good. It's not like getting a half goose so some of the pieces were bones rather than meat. Over all, it was $35++. I was satisfied. Furthermore, the steamed mountain of veggies were exquisite. For the four of us, we were stuffed and spent only $214.

Went here for lunch we couldn’t really read the menu so we had her bring us something she thought we would like. It was really good loved the garlic and ginger sauce. Side note— our lunch was way more expensive than the others who were sitting at our table. If I go back, I’m a tourist so probably not, I’d look around and point to something the locals are eating it will probably be a fraction of the cost that we paid. I’m still happy, and full!

Over rated. The BBQ pork was dry and tasted like paper. They used to be good 20 years ago. Only for taxi drivers because of convenience in parking.

Delicious - crazy delicious - roast pork on rice for only 40HKD. No English menu and barely any English spoken, but they were friendly and fast enough. While I didn’t have to wait, the place quickly filled only a few minutes later at 830p. I’ll be back!

There are some famous food , fire pork ,fire goose, fire duck, etc. And those only cost $30 hkd with rice. But a little bit small and crowd.
The waiters and waitresses are nice.

Great value for budget, yet fresh roast meats. Their roast pork is crispy but fatty, and roast duck is done perfectly with succulent, juicy portions and plenty of duck sauce upon request.

Again, this isn't Kam's roast duck or Yung Kee, but at these prices it's a steal and one of the hidden culinary gems along Hennessy Road.

Decent plate of roasted goose and other roasts. Goose meat was a tad bit too fatty for my liking as compared to the other places I've tried in HK, but the flavor is good overall. As a small establishment catered for locals, it's what you would come to expect: Get in, grab a seat, place an order, eat, get out No frills dining.

Went there today. Nothing fantastic or special about the duck or roasted pork. Only good thing about this place is the reasonable price and the portion. They don't have any chillies and they don't use gloves when they cut the meat up which is a big turned off for me. The duck and roasted pork at Cafe de Coral is much more better. Would I be back again to this placeNO!!!

I keep dreaming about the char siu rice from Joy Hing! It is so tender and flavorful and comes on top of a heaping mound of rice! One of the best features of this restaurant is that the meat sauce is in a bottle right at your table so you can control how much or how little sauce you put in your rice. I also tried the roast duck and roast pork. Both are very flavorful but watch out for bones.

Absolutely stunning goose dishes. I will fantasize about this meal for months to come. Negatives: tight seating and long lines as this is a well known local treasure.

The char siu and siu yuk are my favorites but you can't choose wrong. The place is small and the decor is functional, and there can be crowds during popular dining hours. However I do not recommend going too late in the day because the meats are tastiest when freshly roasted and not sitting out in the display. Also you run the risk of your choice selling out if you wait too long.

The shop is good at promotion. The price is low and the quality is low. I bought food from the shop once or twice per year and I felt regretted each time. You can go to any fast food shops and have much better quality cha siu. This is what I am doing now.

We have been here twice in two weeks with two children (aged 1 & 3). First time ate in and shared a table and second time we did take out and ate in Victoria park. Very busy, very quick service. Delicious pork and rice. Had read reviews advising not to ask for off menu requests due to inflated prices. Interestingly our take away dishes were larger and cheaper than eating in.

Traditional old school BBQ restaurant. Cheap but yet amazingly tasty. Love the bustling and energized atmosphere.

The BBQ pork here is so good! It also comes with a very generous portion of rice. It's very crowded here especially at lunchtime, and you're kinda expected to finish your food quickly to give way to other people.

Went there early Saturday morning so there are no lines yet. The portions are big and considerably cheap. I've tasted better char siu but their suckling pig was amazing.

BBQ Pork meat and Roasted Goose are excellent. But Roasted Duck is not good as before. Chinese soup is good. Customers are always queue up there. Seatings are very limited and narrow.

Famous place for roasted meat. Small place (4-5 tables) so it's best to take-away. Their roasted duck is nice but not exceptional. Their roasted pork (char siu) are famous, but too salty for our taste. Price is very reasonable. Staffs are quite nice.

Doesn't look amazing but the taste is how char siu should taste. Which is, one of my favorite dishes since I was a kid. I wish they just gave a little more meat but I really can't complain for the price and quality. Absolutely fantastic.

Cheap and good - been here five times and each time the crispy pork siu yok was very good. The char siu is tasty as well. They are known for their roasted goose though I have not tried that as I am not a goose fan.

So, this place is famous for their roast goose. When I was there they ran out, but being hungry I decided to stay for a meal. I ended up getting a mix of the other roast meats that they serve and vegetables in a garlic sauce. It was delicious.

Another plus for this place is the service. From the wait staff to the cooks, whom you can see from any seat in the tiny little dive, they all were joking and having fun with everyone. This place seemed to be popular with students and ex-pats. I believe it is because of that awesome service on top of the great roast meats.

Totally worth going out of your way, although this is in the middle of Hong Kong island, to eat at. In all reality, you are probably not going to be far from this restaurant if you are on Hong Kong Island.
