Had an appointment meeting at 2. Arrived 10 minutes before, spoke to the window and got crossed off a list. After making me wait in the outdoor area for 15 minutes they called me back to the window and I reminded them about my interview and they told me it was already 2.10 and I said I know.

They then made me wait in the outdoor area for another 30 minutes. To tell me I could go and to come back in 3 days.

Apparently I didn't need a meeting to begin with

Hopefully next appointment goes better..

Once you get past the over the top Hong Kong security every thing flows. There are a lot of restrictions but if you check the site in advance shouldn't be a problem. The staff in

I have a VISA application appointment at 8am on May 16, 2018. One of the female security guards next to the X ray scanner speak so rude to every person. Other security staff and the staff in the interview room are nice. That rude staff shoud have been fired or at lease given a warning and retraining lesson.

I am an US citizen who needed some document notarized. I called ahead and they said they could do it for a fee. So i went down there and I could NOT even get into the door! They changed their story about being able to notarized the documents for me. My tax dollars at work here!!! My Canadian friend who needed notarization went to the Canadian embassy and they did it for him for free!! Better be a Canadian than an American!!

Read their website! Don't bring your laptop, lighter, food or drinks! For nonimmigrant Visas, remember to bring: 1) One of your recent photo, 2) Original passport, 3) Visa appointment confirmation, 4) DS-160 Confirmation, 5) HKID.
The security staffs are not rude as expected, they are just doing their job with some unmanageable people. And the officers are actually very nice.
But the queue area is even worst than HK immigration office, as they don't even have ac. And please be expect to queue for 1hr in the morning.

Be prepared to be treated like trash by the very impatient staffs & security.

At the security check one staff yelled at me just because I was not able to respond fast enough to his obscure instruction, not to mention that you would have to stand without AC for almost 2 hrs before you get in.

Just before I went in they told me that I am not allowed to bring my pc in ( or store it) and asked me to find a locker in the gymnastic center across the street! (Ended up having to beg the gym center to allow me use the locker)

Very disappointed! The bad attitude deserves 0 star, the two extra stars are for the nice officers.

Freaking stupid. Super bureaucratic and inefficient. If you're non-US citizens applying for a travel visa, be prepared to stand in line for at least 2 hours without air conditioning in the sweltering heat. Booked an interview at 9:15 am, finally leaving at 12 pm. I understand the necessity for security check, it's just taking way too long to be acceptable.

Pretty nice! The room for the US citizens actually felt like I was back in the US again, which was sweet. The only issue was the long lines took a while just to enter the building, and there were some especially long lines for the non-US citizens once you got in.

Treats everyone as a terrorist as we enter. Searches every inch of you when you enter the main complex. The NIV section is outdoors with no A/C, so summer waiting times are dreadful. Other than that, the Red T-Shirt staff are quite kind and helpful!

You know what would have been awesome? To be able to go into this building. We saw the complex from one of the towers we were in and knew we had to stop by. This building probably has a lot of history in it, and yet you can't take photos or see it. Of course it is a consulate, so if I ever was in trouble I could go here. Just too bad, as I am sure the building has some sights to see.

From above we could tell it was a consulate too. The fence was visible from the 43rd floor. I was suprised to find out it was the US consulate though. I figured it would be the UK's since it looked so incredible.
