Managed to get a quick bite inside the Chi Lin Monastery Restaurant. Even though close to closing time they let 2 of us in to eat the lovely vegetarian food at lunch time which ends at 3pm. Quite popular and fairly busy so table booking should be made. Very well designed restaurant with a waterfall outside the windows. Very pretty. Staff helpful. Clean and well organised.

Beautiful and delicious veggie restaurant in the garden with waterfall views. The funny thing is that most HK people either have not been there or have no idea it exists altogether. Every time in HK is a must go.

Very nice Chinese vegetarian restaurant in a beautiful garden and water fall setting. We really enjoyed the food.

Recommend you make reservation as the wait can be long. Note that this place has a hkd120 per person spending minimum. I personally think that’s very reasonable but maybe this will turn you off. This place also doesn’t allow photos, which I think is fine. We should all be able to not snap a selfie or advertise what we eat for one meal.

It's all about the setting. Lovely garden and interesting cultural site. I had the fixed price lunch menu which was good, but nothing special. Seasoning was a little bland overall and price was a little exaggerated.

A local friend took me here, as it has quite a unique and peaceful vibe compared to most other places in Hong Kong. The restaurant is indoors, but it is within a large garden complex and religious centre.

The vegetarian food was very good, but the only regret is that it felt a little bit rushed, as they appear to book through two sessions each night, and you are pretty much marched out the door when you time is up.

Enjoyable here! Not too noisy here, maybe we had dinner just by six. I think it is vaultable in here, you may taste many different kind of mushroom and you never taste before. It will add to my dinnere list.

Great environment with waterfall. The food taste are a bit tasteless, maybe for healthy reason.

Min 120 hkd per person, not advertised. Tourist trap. The lines are long and staffs are disorganized. The food is not worth the wait nor the trouble. The dishes are very soy, soy sauce heavy, high sugar and sodium.

Though with minimum charge, it is actually not more expensive than a normal vegetarian restaurant, but the ingredients are better. There is not much dishes with faked meat and the food here is so delicious.

Nice and elegant Chinese vegetarian cuisine. Nice view and environment. A little bit expensive though. You are not allowed to take photos in the restaurant.

You have to see that you order food min. 120 HKD, no photos are allowed a family wanted to take a photo of themselves they quickly came to say no photos OMG I don't find it a special restaurant I have been to many veggie restaurants in Asia, this was not the worst but I would not come back. there are much better places in HK

Delicious veggies and provide good services. It's usually crowd, recommend reservation in advance. Price a bit high and there is minimum charge HK$120 per head for lunch, HK$150 per head for dinner.

One and only ambience. No other veggie restaurants can compare. Yet if it can close later at night will definitely score 5 stars.
