Holds history of Guyana, which is well documented. However needs a wider selection.

Wasn't what I expected especially in terms of the history of the country. Would skip a visit to the museum unless you enjoy stuffed wildlife.

Lovely place to take first time visitors to see. The environment is good one and you can take time to go through thoroughly.

One thing I would like to see added is to have the building have air conditioned and as it is normally very hot. The addition of a few LEDs would add more to the ambiance.

National museum of Guyana. Has some interesting display. The visit is worth it. It is ideal for all age of visitors. School children can do their research there if exist their subject item. It is located in central Georgetown. The staff are helpful. It is definitely a recommended visit for both local and foreigners. Popular visit for out of town school age children on tour of the city.

The giant sloth is amazing. Otherwise, the exhibits do not have much content. They also have a weird rule that every picture must contain a person in it for copyright reasons. It doesn't really make any sense.
