Pros:
-Historic and very nice building & rooms
-Fast internet
-No noise from the city due to location

Cons:
-Weak breakfast: eggs, frejoles etc not included
-bad sound isolation: You can hear if your room neighbour drops a needle
-Our shower couldn't produce hot water (it was lukewarm at best)

In a safe condominium aside of the city center we found a beautiful Colonial buildings.
Very welcoming hospitality (they don't speak much Eng but will do everything to help). Very clean. Comfortable and cozy room.
It is safe to do a walk to the center in the evening.

This small boutique hotel, built in the colonial style like much of the rest of Antigua, boasts a beautiful decor and atmosphere and sits just outside the town centre, a few blocks away from the Parque Central. The hotel sits inside a gated residential community, with access restricted and guarded 24/7. Its location makes the place relatively quiet, considering Antigua is a popular destination for young tourists who like to party every night and bars, clubs and after parties are a common sound; this makes the hotel an ideal choice for those looking for a budget option while still wanting to experience the authentic decor and enjoy a good night's sleep. The rooms themselves don't include many amenities, but they're quaint and cozy. The hotel has a few common areas, including an atrium, an arched corridor where breakfast is served, a beautiful second floor terrace, a common room with a TV and a selection of books donated through the ages, and a dining room. Drinking and smoking are generally prohibited inside the hotel grounds, which makes this hotel less suitable for youngsters and more appropriate for serious tourists looking to get an early start. Price wise, the rates fall on the cheap side when compared to other similar hotels in the area. The daily rate can be arranged to include a continental breakfast, with limited options but a delicious local flavour. Unlike many hotels of this size, this one boasts a surprisingly good WiFi connection and long-running hot water. The staff is very friendly and very helpful. Be sure to ask for a foot massage after a long day walking the cobblestone streets of Antigua!

Beautiful property in a lovely location in Antigua! Very friendly staff and the breakfasts were delicious! The rooms are very spacious with great decor. A great atmosphere and experience and I'd gladly stay there again.
