We stayed in our tents here, which is optional with your own tent, but there wasn't a lot of options for space as they set up their own tents everywhere, even if they are unoccupied they take up almost all the space available. The restaurant had great food, the staff was very nice and the location is ideal. They also have rooms available, although I don't know how they are or the price of them, so this review is limited to camping, restaurant, and location. There are bathrooms if you choose to camp, which were somewhat clean, but had a bad smell, which I believed to be the actual smell of the pipes and water itself, which comes and goes in strength. The wifi is spotty, but we weren't expecting anything being this remote anyway, so it's a non issue to me. Location is perfect for Tikal and the ruins, and I'm glad we stayed here for 2 nights so we didn't have to take a bus in each day to see the sunrise and sunset. Many locals in Flores will tell you there aren't hotels by Tikal for some reason, but there are at least 2 including this one, and I think it's worth it.

Jaguar inn was super comfortable and two minutes walk from entrance to the archeology site. Don't skimp on guides, my two loved what they do and know their stuff (thanks Abdulio and Hector). Bike ride was along entrance road but the perfect medicine after a full day or planes and taxis. There's an electricity and hot water schedule which is reliable so be happy, you are in the jungle. It's a beautiful place with wonderful locals and staff.

For being in the jungle, it is amazing. However staying in the jungle is rough with the bugs at night (rooms have cracks in door and roof that might let a few bugs in).

Avoid at all cost unless stranded there overnight. First, our room was ready ever since we arrived which was at around 10am, the check-in is in fact at 2pm but they never let us in before. 2nd, they tried to charge us 1US$ for the wi-fi but gave it to us for free after complaining a little. The wi-fi was suppose to be working about 6 to 8 hours per day but barely worked for a little less than an hour and was really slow. When we asked the reason why, the clerk said that he needed to "charge" it before but he was using it to validate the clients credit cards. No hot water despite indicated and the water pressure was minimal. I do not recommend.

Extremely friendly hosts. If you are travelling on the cheap and don't have a tent, stay in one of their tents. It is the cheapest around there and convenient.

The hotel may not have been a true 4 star experience, but it was an amazing hotel in the heart of a jungle and an ancient ruin, so for that it fully deserves 4 stars!

They take Visa, touristy vibe, renting tent was $14/night. Nice showers and bathrooms.

Definitely below expectation. It seemed like no one took care of the gardens, there was old furniture in the rooms and in the restaurant and the shower was malfunctioning. The service was very nice and caring but please, at least put some clean clothes on
