Excellent location, a 10 minute and walk from Semuc Champey! Perfect for short stay to see the park quickly and easily. The dorm was confortable, and the grounds were quite impressive. Also hot showers! Quite a luxury in Guatemala. The food was also excellent and a fair price. Try the hummus and falafel! The only thing that kept it from being 5 stars was the local staff members. They didn't seem to care too much about the place or the guests. Generally not around or busy on theur phones etc. Still recommend a stay for the location and amenities.

All in all the place is nice, very well finished for the place its in. Just got some unfortunate surprises. As we arrived we brought some vegetables to have a little salad, and when they saw us carrying food, their face was as if we were carrying a dead body, and one of the owners was very rude and threatening. Also (they say on their website) there is no connection to internet at all.
Food is very good and tasty.
Just get in the vibe and you'll have a great time!

Amazing food, very clean and so close to semuc champey! Volleyball court, pingpongtable, lots of boardgames and nice people. I forgot some clothes there yesterday and they have offered to send them to me in Antigua. How sweet is that?? What more can you ask for? :) loved all of it

Great place to stay at near Semuc Champey. You can walk to the entrance of the park in 5 minutes. Unfortunately you can really only get food at the hostel which is a bit limiting but the good news is that the food is quite good. The guys that run it are super nice and will help you with whatever you need.

Best place I've been in in whole Guatemala. The place is designed super cool and comfy. Good for the budget backpacker, but also for the ones looking for a bit more peace and quiet.

Next to the sleeping, the food is downright amazing. Golan brought some Israeli influences to the Guatemalan kitchen, which is nice for a change.

Important notice is to book only directly at greengo's or through hostelworld and not through vouchers from tour organisations in other cities.

    Amazing place!
*Important*: Booking is best through their own website or hostelworld. We booked through some operator in Flores, and apparently never pay or pay to late. The host was a super nice guy so he helped us out but said he might stop doing that because it gives him a lot of trouble.

The rooms are nice and clean, showers have a view and are really hot. Wifi was out while we were there but i think they were fixing it at the time. From here you can book tours trough Semuc, which shows you about everything you want in a day. Would definitely recommend.

Super a wonderful place to stay right in the village of Semuc Champey, in my perspective the only way to explore this place because you get to the caves before any other groups from neighboring Lanquin. The beds were clean and comfortable, the showers were hot, the food was delicious and the hostel owners were incredibly helpful. I met so many great people here and definitely recommend the 200Q tour! Don't even think twice about it :-)

The only things that I found a little weird (but not even weird enough to give it less stars) were all aesthetic. There's a lot of concrete and barbed wire around the property and the entrance feels a little bit like you're going into a prison, the metal stairs, garish colored buildings and questionable quality of some of the graffiti juxtaposed against the natural and organic jungle aesthetic wasn't really for me and some of the lighting could really use a gentler touch to make it a little cozier, but that's just my design background speaking!

    Thanks again guys!

I loved semuc champey and This hostel was good besides the fact that you have to pay for every tiny thing. I mean they refuse you to bring food or drink from outside and charge you a lot for theirs. It is very far from everything so don't expect to go anywhere. Check out is at 11am but the only van that drive you back to the city is a 6:30am. Otherwise you are just screwed to stay there. Since you are so far away from anywhere else you have to book buses through them and they charge more than anywhere else. Book everything before going there.
Besides that the place was nice and great hot shower

Super chill base with a good vibe from which to see Semuc Champey. Beds and everything were clean and comfortable, particularly considering it truely is in the middle of nowhere. Owners and staff were very friendly, as were the four-legged residents! The on site restaurant serves nice food at reasonable prices.

Loved it, maybe a bit pricey but it worth it. Awesome beds, hot water. The restaurant is really good and the atmosphere lets you decide whether you party or just chill. Also the owner is a great person who cares about the local community.

A couple friends and I stayed at Greengos for a couple nights during Semana Santa. We really loved the overall green theme of the place! The owner is very helpful and makes a point to remember you and ask how everything is going. The bar is brand new and nice with a decent drink selection. We definitely got quite a party vibe at the bar, but it did not extend beyond that. The nice thing about this place is that you don't have to party if you don't want to.

Possibly the best thing about this place is that it is a 5-10 minute walk from Semuc. The hotel will even set you up with a tour guide for many activities. We got the 1-day Semuc package, that included the limestone pools, cave exploring by candlelight, and tubing on the river. The package was quite affordable.

Anyway, the beds were comfortable, the bathrooms clean, and the people you will meet are amazing.

A few things to note: it is cash only. Make sure you have plenty cash on you before you get there. I am guessing that the nearest ATM is an hour away. They also do not allow outside food or drinks, so plan wisely.

It is a green hotel (really more of a hostel with private room options), so they shut of electricity every night by 11 pm and keep it off until around 6 or 7 AM. Plan to charge your electronics during on hours. And finally, there really isn't any wifi, as the place is nestled deep within the Guatemalan jungle. But once you are there, you will not even miss your electronics!

    Overall, would recommend this place.

If you are visiting Semuc Champey (No doubt that you should), you need to visit this stunning pearl of a hostel in the middle of the jungle. There is no wifi however there are plenty of people you can socialise with and plenty of hammocks to read books on. This hostel has excellent costumer service, the food is good and the laughs are plenty. They organise trips with a guide to do caving and tubing as well as a trip around Semuc Champey, visiting the natural pools and jumping off of them. However we visited on our own as this was cheaper and seeing as we didn't need transport to get to Semuc from the hostel, we opted for this option. Although the tour is not too expensive either. The hostel has spacious rooms and the design is great. The only downfall would be that that the toilets/shower area are quite far from the rooms. Most people stay at Zephyr however this is a much more fitting option if you are visiting the pools. Although quite a bumpy 50 minute ride back to the bus station to make your way out of Languin.
