I got told to go f myself, with a number of typos in their managers response following my email enquiry. Quite a shock response.
Totally satisfied
Απίστευτη θέα, φιλόξενο προσωπικό, εξαιρετικό πρωινό, καθαρό, άνετο, τέλεια τοποθεσία, ηρεμία, χαλάρωση..
When my wife booked this I honestly wasn't sure, my experience with hotels in Greece in the past has been varied. But this place blows so much of that away, it was a really good hotel.
The people who run it are so accommodating, we had an infant with us, so they helped with sterilising bottles and ensured we had our evening meals on the terrace outside our room. The room was clean and well equipped, especially the bathroom which was small but adequate. My wife was particularly enthusiastic about the quality of the mattress.
They have a charming dog who is amazingly disciplined (one of the team is a dog trainer apparently), the whole environment is friendly and inviting. The food is whatever they have, or ask and they might go to town and get it! But what they have is great, and fresh, much of the produce being their own or locally sourced. The mini bar prices were also very reasonable which is surprising for any hotel.
My only small gripe? Their bread could have been lighter / fluffier, but you could tell it wasn't factory made at least. Also beware the drive up and the parking, it really is a tough drive for little hire cars, but you can do it! If these are my only complaints then this is clearly a strong recommendation.
Nice
Nice location, friendly personnel.
We had a wonderful stay in this picturesque hotel. Alexis, the manager, did above and beyond to take care of all our needs and requests. He is also very knowledgable about the area and can recommend what to do and where to go, including arranging rafting in the Voidomatis river (highly recommended). The food, prepared by Alexis' mother (the owner of the hotel) is the best we've had in Greece - ending up having dinner here and nowhere else for our entire 3 day stay. So - if you're coming to Zagoria, this is definitely the place to stay. Also, the dog Ali is the cutest dog in Greece :-)
