Four star hotel with two star hotel flaws. We had a superior room which was spacey, especially the bathroom. However all surfaces were worn out and D I R T Y. Especially the carpet, curtains and marble floor around toilet. Otherwise OK hotel. The top floor gym is compact but nice with the view of Akropolis.

Good hotel, well located for the main tourist sites. Room overlooked back relatively busy road but noise wasn't an issue. The breakfast is standard, good enough but nothing to shout about. Rooftop area is really lovely - a nice spot to chill out in after a day of sightseeing.

Great hotel. Manager Ioli Karska is awesome. Very helpful and always monitoring operations. The rooms are gorgeous. Washroom is great. The wifi is very good. The pool on the roof top is awesome. Water is a bit cold lol. Great view on the roof top. A must stay hotel. Close to everything. Will return for sure.

Very nice hotel. Rooftop pool has a great view of the Arcropolis. Rooms are nice and modern. The showers even have body jets! Couple minute walk to the metro made it very convenient to get everywhere.

We stayed at Melia Athens for 1 night before flying out the next morning. Right from check in we were made to feel comfortable and welcomed. The hotel was immaculate and very luxurious. We were upgraded to a room with a jacuzzi, the beds were extremely comfortable, the curtains were completely block-out (its the small things), the shower head had great water pressure and the shower base didn't leak even in the slightest, the rooftop pool and bar were very cool and to top it all off breakfast was AMAZING!

The hotel describes itself in a more grand manner than the experience was in reality. Perks that seemed to be included in the stay, either were overpriced such as the breakfast or extremely small and cramped such as “the luxurious fitness and Hamam-area“. In case of the pool, that was sold as a year-round plus, was closed for the season during our stay. The Jacuzzi-bath was as amazing as it was described however.

My wife and I stayed here for a romantic / sightseeing weekend in Athens.
Pros: Very professional staff who were friendly and helpful when it came to booking the island tour we wanted! (Due to a government employee strike, the tour was cancelled but that wasn't the hotel's fault. They called our room right away to let us know when it happened). Everyone was very friendly there. We saw reviews saying this was in a "sketchy" neighborhood, but it was fine. Like any other big city, your surroundings and don't walk alone at night. We felt totally safe. It's very close to a train station so it was easy to use public transportation to get around the city. The room was clean and met all of our needs.
Cons: Minor stuff (see the 4 star rating) The room was pretty warm and we had to keep the window open in the evening. That let in the noise from the street. In the hotel's defense, we never did ask the front desk about this. Since we visited in February, the rooftop was not accessible. I understand the pool and bar being closed, but we were disappointed that we couldn't at least go out there to enjoy the view.

Great service. The rooms are very confortable with a bathroom that has shower and jacuzzi. The breakfast is very good with many options to choose whatever you prefer.

This place is lovely, it's a 30 min walk from all the main sights which is perfect. We stayed in a supreme room and the bath rooms are amazing, the shower is huge and you can just lay in the bath for hours, the bed is very comfortable.
Not really had much experience with other services here, but the food/bar can be quite expensive. But there's vendors everywhere so you can grab a few snacks on the cheap.
The roof top pool has an amazing view and you could sit up there all day and just stare at the scenery all day.response / report this review
