  If you've made it this far into the Mani, it would be a shame not to visit this series of sea caves. They're extensive and definitely out of the ordinary, but could be presented so much better.
  
  You are punted around a kilometre or so of illuminated caves, stalactites dangling inches away from your head! The boatmen clearly know their way around well which is reassuring, but the downside of this is that you move constantly from cave to cave and unless you have the front seat in the boat there is little opportunity to see what's on offer. The illuminations are rather basic, and the presentation could be better - perhaps this will come in time. At the end of the boat ride you can walk at leisure through further caves, taking time to study and perhaps photograph the formations. There's a small gift shop and a rather basic cafe at the end, otherwise you'll need to make your way back to Diros or Areopolis for refreshments.

  Boat guided tour for 1.2miles and 300m walk through the cave at the end. Rated best in world. And has a lot of variety. Greek commentary

  Beautiful place but we were told tour would be 40 mins total, 30 in the boat and approx 10 by foot. Boat just raced round much quicker than this disappointingly so unable to fully appreciate or get decent pictures as we were travelling so fast. Also told we would be offered a multilingual commentary to use if we wished for the journey round, sadly nothing offered, so we could only guess what we had seen from the map on the pamphlet. Cafe had sold out of food. Beach, which you can use free of charge, very disappointing.

  Great caves compared to other similar attractions I've seen in Greece. We paid €10 as part of a boat trip; the journey in a small boat through the maze of caves took 20 minutes or so, then you walk through some more at your own pace, allowing you to investigate & take photos at your leisure. Children loved it; the small tunnels no wider than the boat, ducking to avoid the low ceiling, stalagmites & stalactites and opening into caverns are like a Disney ride. Also a nice break from the sun in the middle of a Greek summer. A good family trip.

  The caves is a must see if you are in the area!!! It's an amazing experience!!!! But unfortunately the negatives are more! Tickets cost 13€!!!! For 20minutes tour! The guidance experience is below the average! They tell you some fiction names and that's it! Needs to improve immediately the customer experience!

  Perfect for a hot day. Exciting for both kids and adults. Cool nice air inside the caves.
  A bit pricey, but if you take a swim at the beach next to it, i think its well worth the money.
  14€ for adults
  8€ for discount. Classes and children under 8.

  A unique experience, one of the most beautiful caves of Greece combining boating and walking located in an area full of history and tradition. Beware of busy days, arrive early, preferably call beforehand (no reservations as far as I know but to get an idea of waiting time, if any). Closes early.

  The tour on the boat was very fast and hard to take any pictures, but it was incredible to view the caves. At the end you did get to walk through part of the cave and take pictures.

  After driving for 5 hours from Athens the workers there told me
  that I can not enter the cave any more today !!
  - it was 3 o´clock local time !
  
  They had no Tours on their list, they had nothing to do , the only thing they did was smoking there cigarettes and chatting around.
  
  After waiting for 20 Minutes and looking at the see - the worker came and told me that I may get onto a tour .
  
  There was no explaination why it was possible now.
