Visited here two or three times from my stay in Capecoast. The sitting area is not bad, the staff are friendly and very quick at what they do. The ocean is very clean but the coastline or shore to the right side is dirty, doesn't really smell good. So I'll only go there to maybe just enjoy the music and a drink in the sitting area.

Very cozy atmosphere not far off from the cape coast castle, a historical monument.

Great selection of local and international meals.

Has an upscale vibe to the place. Can be put off by the surrounding environs though

Nice spot to hang out with friends. Excellent ocean view from this spot both at day and night. The environment at Oasis is serene.

A pretty place to hang out in the evening. I did not use the rooms, but the restaurant and the bar. In late hours, the place is still very vibrant, and full of expats. So if you are new in Cape Coast, it is a decent place for you to meet other fellow foreigners. The breeze is just lovely and makes you want to stay. There are also some bungalows right on the beach. But the beach itself is not to be trusted. In about 20meters from the restaurant, I saw a local easing themselves on the beach, so watch where you walk.

A/C didn't work in first 2 rooms. Finally did in 3rd room then manager tried to charge me a bunch more money because it had a view. However I would have preferred the ground floor, on the water room with a view had the A/C been working. No towels in bathroom and no toilet paper (had to ask for both).
Very limited selection of beer at the bar and it was barely "cold". Food in restaurant was very good, decent selection, good white wine and good service!

This only covers the restaurant/bar area, as the rooms here were fully booked when I visited. The food is just okay, nothing mind blowing, chicken fried rice is fried rice and a huge chunk of fried chicken (be warned). Pizza I had was decent also looked the "red red" (stewed beans) with plantain. It's outdoors by the sea, which is nice, but if you have issues with cigarette smoke, you may want to stay much closer to the entrance. (It's no guarantee but there are usually way fewer people there). It was packed full both times I stopped by, so if you're looking to meet people, might be a good place to look.

Saturday night in this amazing place is a dream come through for party lovers and people who love exploring other culture! And the beach use to be dirty by the people who live near by but they made effort to clean the beach little by little every single day to bring it to this beauty for the past years I knew it. For the atmosphere, food and staff i would have given this place 5 stars. However I would like to give 3 stars due to the presence of cockroaches in the room. Because I travel with a baby it's important for me the room has no bugs.

Perfect spot along the famous coasts of Central region to lodge. The hotel is close to a lot of landmarks and historical monuments like schools and castles. It has a cool range of rooms to pick from and has supportive staff.

One of the best places in Cape Coast where to go to have good food or just some drinks. You can meet here plenty of tourists and volunteers. On fridays and saturdays nights it is very busy place with loud music where you can dance as well

Oasis is the best place to stay in Cape Coast. I go there occasionally to get away from the stress of the big city (Accra)

The bungalow rooms are nice (and a good value) and the bar/restaurant is a very social place with good food and friendly staff. Cape Coast Castle is nearby, as is the downtown. It's a good example of beach that is both tourist-friendly and a 'working beach', as you will see fishing boats on one end of the beach and a volleyball court on another.

Book your room at least a week ahead of time, as the single rooms are in high demand.

IF YOU CARE ABOUT DOGS, DON'T COME HERE. That it's close to the beach and has sun beds is the only good thing about this place. The service is moderate, the beds in poor condition in the dormitory. And the dogs, chained up in short leashes at the hotel, severely underweight, covered in ticks and untreated wounds with flies. Some was missing a shelter, never once were they taken out of their chains. I guess you support animal abuse if you stay here. If they don't do anything about that, I won't come here again. My heart is breaking for the dogs. And no, they are not dangerous. I saw a review about this 2012, so I guess these innocent creatures grew up in chains. Absolutely horrible

Edit: the owner can try and explain himself below but I let anyone see for themselves at the lodge. I've been trying to post pictures of the dogs as proof here, but has been removed by the owner. Very professionally handled, no. Take your responsibility and treat your dogs better and stop lying to yourself and your costumers. Thanks

I booked a room over the phone in early June 2017 for a stay in early July 2017. The reservation was confirmed in June. I then called again two days before I was scheduled to arrive to re-confirm that they still had my reservation (this is Africa after all) and was told that everything was sorted and they were awaiting my arrival. Traveling in from Accra (a 3.5 hour trip via Ford van), I arrived and was told they did not have my reservation and that I had never made one. However, all of the phone numbers they have listed on their contact information are cell phone numbers for the management and staff. I was able to show them my call history to these numbers for both June and July (reservation and re-confirmation) but they denied having spoken to me and blamed me for showing up even though they "told me they were full two days ago" when they clearly told me they had my reservation and all was good. Why would someone go 3.5 hours without a room reservation?? Use your heads.

The kicker is that a lady who shared the Ford van with me also tried to check in and was told they did not have her reservation either some minutes later they told her they would try to sort it out since she was booked into the dormitory room. During this time, another traveler came and told them that her phone had been stolen from the lunch table she was at seems like many things go "missing" at Oasis Beach.

I was not offered reimbursement for my travel to/from Cape Coast from Accra (I was forced to return to Accra as this was a weekend trip and I now had no place to stay). The only offer they gave me was to put me in a taxi to a random guest house (Sam's Place - it's not online or on TripAdvisor so no thanks).

By day a good place to catch breakfast or lunch and watch the beach. At night a hopping lively bar comes alive about 9pm and goes on late into the night. Fun place to go for an unforgettable experience.

I spent the last New Year’s Eve at the Oasis Beach Resort. It was one of the best evenings I’ve had in Ghana. I got in around 2pm, check-in into the dorms, which was only Ghc20 for the night. After I rested for a bit, I went to bar for a cold drink; the boys behind the counter were so welcoming, they answered every question I had. After my drink I jumped into the water for a quick swim. At 7pm, we had a buffet; very well made beef, chicken and vegetarian dishes. On my table, I got to chat with several travelling and volunteers from the USA, Europe, Japan and African countries like Nigeria and Guinea. After dinner we all headed to the bar to share some cheers. The dancing started around 9 pm and went on ‘til the 12 o’clock countdown. We went to the beach and watched the fireworks. It was a great display. The party went on ‘til 5 am. I had so much fun talking, laughing and getting to know other people from all over the world.
