Thanks SRS for two great trips, River Safari and Cave Tour. If you want an authentic visit to Fijian Villages combined with jet boating and off roading Sigatoka River Safaris is the place to go. Awesome friendly people with good local knowledge. Special shout out to Lady Gaga and Spoungebob Square Pants!

A must do if you are on the coral coast, great village experience and great for all ages. Book directly through the company and save a bucket of money, the resorts charged double.

Sigatoka River Safari are a Sigatoka based company who run excellent excursions on the Coral Coast - the River Safari itself, which is not only a fun trip in a jet boat through stunning scenery up the Sigatoka River but also a cultural visit to villages (they rotate which village to reduce overfamilarity) which are off the beaten track. They also do a great cave tour.

Perfect combination of stunning river landscapes and local village life. Just make sure you choose a sunny day. And check for deals on internet before booking, you can save a bench of dolars.

Highly marketed tourist product to keep visitors engaged when in sigatoka area. Honestly, there are much better speed boats rides around. The real treat for this is the village tour at the end of it. But there are more ways of visiting a village without having to take an expensive boat ride.

Fantastic experience and would recommend it to everyone. Captain Freddy was fantastic, as were all the wonderful people we met, including the villagers who welcomed us all, as family. Unforgettable experience and a true portrayal of all of Fiji, the scenery, the amazing warmth and generosity of it's people. A "must do" on your holiday.

What a special and memorable experience!!!
The boat ride there is already thrilling as we're in a fast motorboat zipping down the river, it felt like we were in a movie. People were out from the nearby villages, washing their clothes, fishing, cleaning their goats and horses - that was already very cool.
The village itself is what makes this special though. We had the chance to sit with the leaders of the village and be part of their welcome/kava ceremony. After that we were walked through the village and saw the extremely bare buildings that they all live in. But the amazing thing was that no matter how much your instinct would be to get sad and feel sorry for their poverty, it was their happiness and warmth that shined through. Do these villagers live in a place that literally floods every year, making them have to start fresh each time? Yes. And I couldn't even imagine having to deal with that sort of lifestyle. But they were so WELCOMING and happy to meet us and welcome us into their homes, and excited to share their culture with others. When we left they didn't ask me to send them money, they asked me to send them photos and videos of us all singing and dancing together. It was their life and joy that came through that they wanted to celebrate. We really had the GREATEST time meeting with dozens of villagers, dancing with them and chatting.
And let me just add that on the ride back home the jet-boat did a few hilarious 360 degree turns which made everyone scream with delight. A day to never be forgotten!
