The location was perfect but would not be returning!

A couple of days of being at hideaway my family members who we were travelling with got sick. When we had raised this concern with staff they seemed uninterested and didn’t care about their wellbeing.
The Bar staff during the day were lovely but could not say the same for the ones in the night. As we were dining mostly in the main restaurant they would not serve us drinks unless we got a waiter but they were no where to be found.
We waited a long time for our meals and drinks which was not good when you need to be places.
Having coeliac disease ( gluten free) I am always cautious of what I eat. On the first night of arriving I met with the chef Faiyaz and he took care of me straight away. Faiyaz went out of his way to accomodate my needs and did not have any stomach issues while there.
My family and I all booked spa deals a week in advance and the day before our appointment we went and checked the times and to confirm but to find that our names had been removed from their original times.
I would not recommend this hotel to anyone I will not be going back.

Bad customer service / racist behaviour

Visited here after a few few years abroad. I am a local. was subjected to worse customer service by Fijian staff. Rude behaviour. Resort Manager was no where to be seen to raise this.

Someone at the hotel also loosened wheel nuts on my car. An hour after leaving the resort two of the studs broke and we almost had an accident. unfortunately had to leave the country and short of time. Just warning everyone else to be careful. Not a very good exeprience. while checking out they were trying to bill us for extra people when clearly we booked two rooms among two adults and three kids. Terrible experience. Racist Fijian staff towards locals. Not organized at all. Resort Manager needs to be available to sort out guest issues.

If you want an unpretentious, layed back holiday for the family and kids this is the place for you. If you want high-end facilities and good showers it's probably not. The staff are super friendly which more than made up for the average shower.

We stayed here for 3 days. Unfortunately this place seems to need a bit of TLC. Despite this, we enjoyed our time here. Staff and service is first-rate and I cannot complain.

Fiji hideaway I found to be extremely disappointing. Food was terrible and it's become one of those places where people with bad taste go to get drunk, get noisy, and pass out. The DJ and the bar staff will urge you on to go on, get drunk and be "merry". Looks like that is the clientele that they are keen on.

If you're sick of the fare then there are no other restaurants close by unless you catch a taxi up the road towards Suva or if you go back all the way to Sigatoka. This resort will have you captive and charge exorbitantly for really poor quality food.

This resort actually has carpet around the pool. CARPET around the pool!!! Yuck.

Some Fijian waiting ladies in the main restaurant conducting dinner service couldn't give two hoots, were snappy and rude.

Ladies who ran the kids club were really nice and so we're the room cleaners who did a great job.

Beutiful beach stretch. Shame the place is in in shambles and falling apart.

Free wifi is said to be available but they are precious about giving you access. Not that the wifi network was any use. It was extremely slow to be if any use and would disappear intermittently.

Service needs more attention. Out of all resorts this one feels like more of a bingo hall with a pool. Very mismatched place

Love the serene atmosphere here. Though it is situated right next to the highway, being in it is a totally different feeling. You forget its near the road as there are many other sights to indulge in. The long white beach, the natural set up, local music, pool and meeting all sorts of happy people.
    Great service as well.

First impressions was that it was a long way from anything. Hoped it would be great to make up for the time to get there. Unfortunately that was not the case. Room was small and very much like a cabin at a campground. The bed was ok but it only had a flat sheet, one thin blanket and another thin sheet on top of that. The facilities were at best comparable to a campground. Pads covering the pool chairs old and stained, even with a towel over it not sure I wanted to lay on them.Pool was small so once a few kids were in splashing around not much room to swim. Resort is a stretch to call this place. It was geared towards families with small children who wanted to just stay at the resort. 2 hours to get to activities. By 7pm (when happy hour ended) the bar was empty and no entertainment but 24/7 rugby on the tv. On the positive side grounds were well maintained and the beach was long and you could snorkel off of it. This was the main reason we came here. Booked for 8 days only lasted 4. Moved to the Westin in town and found what we were hoping for.

Bures are awsome great size and have everthing you need bar a tv and internet (which doesnt really matter) the rest of the place is starting to show its age. It won awards in 1997 and 1998 and they proudly display them still. Very nice and friendly staff

We went in October. It is a bit cruise ship atmosphere, it works for some and doesn't for others. It was nice to have a dive shop on site.

We wouldn't recommend the all inclusive unless you will spend the whole time at the bar, then you may come out ahead. The fire walking show was a farce. The restaurant recycles the menu a lot, every dish has a side of watermelon and pineapple..not creative.

The rooms were excellent and outdoor shower was very nice. Friendly staff. But I suspect most Fiji resorts staff are very friendly.

It's a good place for families. We don't have kids.

Ive already booked my next stay!
Fiji Hideaway Resort and Spa is incredible. I am here now for the first time on my honeymoon and I am loving it. Even though it has rained so far for the last 4 days it has not bothered me and my wife at all. There is plenty to do and the staff and residents are great friendly people. If you are planning a romantic retreat or a family getaway The Hideaway is the place to be :) Trust me ;)
5 stars all round.. I would give it to 10 if I could.
