Very good food and nice stuff. Big clean rooms, we stayed in a Bure. The drinks are very expensive, a large bottle of water costs eight dollars! Amazing beach and blue clear water!

Nice little Island to visit. Great coral and beach with nice places for snorkeling not far from shore. The bar sells a range of drinks with a selection of local and imported beer, a decent selection of spirits and at reasonable prices considering it is a small island off the mainland. Didn't stay here for long so not sure what the rooms are like here.

Wonderful staff and such a fun island to stay on. The full body massage is a must! The only issue I noticed whilst staying was the fact that water pressure was non existent, and at times the power would occasionally cut out which would stop the water flow all together. Not a major when you are on a tropical island, more of an unexpected inconvenience when you had soap everywhere. That to me was the only thing that needed improvement! Otherwise everything was on point 👌

This little bump of sand is a little bit of paradise. Crystal clear waters, beautiful beach. Your experience and some of the varying reviews are all down to the room you choose. The beachfront burres are basic (no air con) but you couldn't be closer to the beach and have a hammock right outside. Dorms are pretty poor - virtually no plug sockets, only 2 showers for 12 people, no mirror in the room. But hey it's cheap and you're in paradise! Don't expect the best food of your life - it's very adequate but certainly not something you come for alone.

Amazing experience!! Ideal place for people who are willing to have a good time without breaking the bank compared to other islands. It's not ideal for families with children or elderly. Must do for single travelers!

Absolutely no star at all to this resort. They call them self Party Island but when we arrived it was quiet and dead. Not even one activity or someone who would be trying to talk us in to something. Only an bored bartender staring at his cell phone and bad music playing over and over again.
The room looks more like an cheap Hostel room than a Fiji paradise.
Beach is full of broken glass so you have to be very careful not to step on any.
The worst from worst was the food. They make you pay for it first think you arrive and then you have to be starving as there is no vegetarian option for people who does not eat meat or seafood.
I literally got two uncooked potatoes on my plate as a dinner and had to order chips next day at lunch.
We run away from that island first think next day.

Small island very small. But when it's busy it's good to have a party here. For day trip it's ok as well, but they don't have any beach chairs because of size. Three stars just because there is a plenty small islands for snorcheling and for walks. But if you catch the party time it can be legend. And if you want to see just island and be in paradise try another island.

An idyllic island getaway

We couldn't have picked a more beautiful destination for our baby's first holiday. The island was easy to access, only a short transfer from the main island and we loved it from our first glimpse of this beautiful island. We were greeted with Fijian welcome songs and it was an easy process to check in, pick up a cocktail and head to our beach front bure. The staff were utterly lovely especially with the baby. I felt like we brought our baby to meet an adoring new family. I was very comfortable leaving the baby with a babysitter while we enjoyed a drink in the Sand Bar before dinner. Meals were fresh and delicious and there was a great range of cocktails and even a few nice NZ wines. We mostly lazed around in our hammock, on deckchairs or on the sand, but there were lots of fun activities available. We even managed to go jetskiing while our little one snoozed with his babysitter. We had a wonderful holiday and we can't recommend Beachcomber enough. An absolutely gorgeous island resort!

Just spent 5 days on this delightful island. You might be able to walk around it in 15 mins at low tide, but the caring, respectful staff, the wholesome food, the fabulous snorkeling, the evening entertainment, the sunsets and so much more, make this feel like a much bigger island. Recommended going in low season. Thank you Beachcomber returned to NZ feeling very rested.

The reason I give Beachcomber 2 stars is for a number of factors outside of their control. 1 factor is I went around the 8-10 January and it was dead quiet. Another is that as a result of it being the party island there tended to be more 18-20 year olds who understandably wanted different things from their holiday. Another factor was the free WiFi meant everyone was glued to their phones like being on a bus in a city - I never encountered this at any other island and ironically found it to be the most antisocial island because everyone was communicating with their friends back home. Outside of those factors, the island facilities were great, the staff super friendly and the variety of activities more expansive than any other island. The saving grace for me was staying in a bure which was right by the water and was simply paradise - if I didn't expect a party atmosphere, I would be rating this a lot higher!

Oh oh oh the memories from back then. I still think I'm the only person to ever sleep in the girls staff dormatry. Wasted on booze and no idea where I was. They were nice though and in the morning they helped me back to my room. It was in 1998.

Beachcomber island is incredible. The location alone makes this place a must go destination, though keep in mind this has a reputation as THE party island in Fiji, so if you've got kids maybe avoid the weekend. That said, we saw plenty of families having a great time all hours of the day.

The staff also are wonderful, very friendly, extremely helpful and always making sure you're having a good time.

We stayed in a 2 bed room, with our own toilet, shower, balcony/verandah and fridge. The beds were comfy, the rooms very clean and the shower was piping hot! (It was a really good shower).

Long story short, I can't wait until I go back!

My friend and I had only one qualm and that was the boat transfer price. When we arrived at Anchorage (the port of departure on the mainland) we saw advertised day trips to Beachcomber, for $109 Fijian, incl. return boat trips, activities, morning tea and lunch.
However as a guest, you're charged $104 Fijian for a one way transfer.
We heard rumours of a return travel deal for $170 once we arrived, but upon inquiry were unable to take the offer given we'd already paid the $104.

Beachcomber island is without a doubt the place to have a great time in Fiji. We were there 2 nights and 3 days, but would definitely recommend arriving Wednesday, and leaving the following Wednesday to truly appreciate this little slice of heaven.
