What a wonderful and beautiful place to see such a beautiful architecture with beautiful colors and historical Cathedral that gives a beautiful view on Helsinki with a small garden where you can stay and have a beer with friends

You can see the Cathedral from the city centre you will see the "gold shinning" from the Helsinki museum is 10min walking or you can wait from one of the trams. Unfortunately on Sundays they are only open from 12h to 15h so didn't went inside. Anyway if you need to wait for Museums to open (on Sundays not before 10h) you can go there and take nice pics of Helsinki. Near the Cathedral is the Love Bridge. From there to Market Square 5min (or less).

Ortodox Cathedral completely different from what I am used. Really different and beautiful. Not that big but is located in a higher place that seems imperial.

Absolutely spectacular structure. I haven't been in awe of a building quite as much as I was here. Built with brick and towering into the skies. I was blown away. Definitely a great place to visit and not far from the docks and Senate Square.

Nice looking cathedral, red color is nice contrast to blue sky. Another beautiful place.

Door handle does not twist. Need new door handles. The last thing I needed with my face frozen, hands frost-bitten was to be humiliated at a house of God. To my shock and horror I could not twist nor turn the door handle only to realise the door handle only pulled. I work in user experience design and will tell you this for free, that is bad UX. Once I finally breached the defences, it was lovely inside. Would've given 5/7 had it been for better door handles.

On a hill top but not that high you imagined. Just about 50 steps. The city and the Helsinki Bay view is spectacular.

The cathedral is nice to look at from afar, and you can also get right to it by climbing some stairs to the hill where it stands. I've never actually been inside, so I do not know about the interior. We've been there a couple of times, and it was not open then, so if you plan on getting inside, you might want to check somewhere if the cathedral is open for public.

The cathedral is not only immaculate in its own right but it also offers spectacular views of the surrounding city. I highly suggest and early morning visit to watch the sunrise and observe how sheets of pink and baby blue, blanket the city. Autumn is a great time of year as the trees create a natural frame of red, green and yellow around the city landscape
