Very authentic market place. Great shops!
Definitely best market in town. Fresh fish, meat. Good selection of vegetables and fruits, bread + 2nd floor for clothing, various household items etc. If you want to experience a real market feel - come on Saturday morning. Also some nice places to have a snack and coffee.
A must-shop for all gourmets!! Staff friendliness depends on the shop, some of them let you wait a loooong time and are not that kind A lot of food to try for free.
A fantastic place to find anything ranging from food to crafts, postcards and design glasswsre. Samalla shops, a traditional atmosphere.
Amazing place! Fresh food to take away or eat in. Lots of choice! Shopping on 2nd floor as well
Old fashioned market hall with small booths for traders. Downstairs you find mainly fresh food, upstairs you find not easily perishable products.
There are a lot of counters selling fresh meat and fish everyday. A good place to visit if you have high standard with food material. Many things are quite expensive compare to normal store, especially vegetables.
One of the very few markets that left in Helsinki. You can find there good collection of tea or fresh fish. Cozy and nice place to visit either to buy groceries or from curiosity.
Good choice of local food. I recommend it!
Great market, has food on the lower floor and other stores upstairs setting a lot of cool and unique items. If you are visiting Helsinki it's definitely worth an hour or two here. There are also small cafes here so you can get food or just a coffee. Huge selection of fish, meats, vegetables, chocolate, cookies, etc.
If I lived close to this, I think I would almost never shop at a big supermarket again. A big variety of stalls selling fresh vegetables, cheeses, meat, fish, baking plus coffee shops and handicrafts. Perfect.
Personally I would say that this is my favorite market hall in Helsinki. Recommended as the "more authentic" hall where the locals tend to visit as it is out of view from the Market Square (filled with tourists). Operating consistently for years and years. Don't forget to visit the Flying Cow for the best cheese in the city. They really know their cheeses!
