Sumo people have done their research when it comes to japanese food and helped Bilbao people to be gently introduced to sushi and this asian culture. This tiny place's concept is simple and practical: its a take-away sushi place. Quality is very good but not outstanding. You can get just a bite or an entire roll, and they have that option to charge you just for that which is odd but convient for those first-timers. They have some famous japanese beers and "healthy" tea-based drinks in their fridge for a complete meal. You may shop some other famous japanese products such as wasabi and nori snacks, and -Ingredients- to cook japanese food (okonomiyaki, sushi, etc.). Their menu is not extensive but what's in there is good enough to try. What really takes some points away is that they don't even have tables outside the place so people can at least have some options.

If there's one place you want to buy sushi from in Bilbao, it surely is Sumo. The quality of the products is outstanding, the attention is cordial and helpful if you're in need of any suggestions and even though it may seem a bit more expensive than the other sushi places, it is well worth it.

Great food for takeaway. Too bad you cant sit and eat there but there's a park nearby where we ate our food. Delicious!
