  Incredible little cafe very central in Madrid. The croissants a la plancha and deserts definitely merit a stop if you’re ever in the area.
  
  They make a mean cappuccino.
  
  The staff can be a bit overwhelmed at times if they’re busy. Apparently turns into a nice little bar at night.

  La Fábrica had great reviews and was near our coworking space, but the waiters were all quite rude and unfriendly. Upon arrival around 11:30am, there were many empty tables so we (two people) chose a 4seater near the window. We were told the table was reserved, and had to move to a 2seater as motioned. The server didn't offer to help us move our menu or water glasses, and once we moved, another waiter told us we had to finish eating by 2pm as the table was "reserved."
  
  The restaurant was HALF empty at this point, and until 2pm only 3 extra tables were taken. We ordered a pasta dish for two people, the pasta was al dente and sauce overly salty! Out of the 6 mussels, two mussel were closed and thus not edible. The only saving grace was the bread - which was charged €1! We will not be back, and am highly disappointed by this experience

  The menu all looked really good and the daily special is a steal as it includes dessert and a glass of wine. They were also very accommodating to a young child and even had a high chair to offer us. The food was excellent and when we saw the bill we were very surprised, a great value.

  cosy place, warm atmosphere and good service, with a quality contemporary spanish cuisine. yet, the big surprise at the end is the italian cannoli siciliani for dessert!

  Happened upon this small quiet intimate and friendly restaurant after visiting reina Sofia. Warm decor with books on one wall small thoughtful menu. Loved their outpus carpaccio(thinly sliced flowerbed of octopus over delicious potatoes), pasta and a pork confit. Cod was ok. Service was friendly, intelligent and unobstrusive. A complimentary glass of limoncello completed a wonderful low keyed but high quality meal. There is an adjacent attached bookstore that we did not explore.
  Highly recommended.
