  One of Madrid's landmarks, La Ardosa offers great drinks and traditional Spanish food. You can drink one of the bests traditional Vermut (sweet wine), typical for apperitif, as well as great wines and beers. For food you have to try the best grilled artichokes in the world, as well as tortilla de patatas, salmorejo, and other great tapas that will blow your mind. Beware because it's a small and cozy place, and it's always full of people!

  Great place! Good food. Although it is generally crowded, bit worth the visit while you re walking around Madrid. Vermouth is a must here

  A great place to stop in for drinks and tapas. 7€ for tortilla de patata, empanada, and vermouth (which is delicious!). The staff were also very friendly and patient with my not-so-good Spanish.
  
  La Ardosa is small, standing-room-only, and only accepts cash. The delicious food, cheap prices, and chic historic feel make it well worth the visit.

  A nice small bar. Took gin tonic only at night. 6€ only. Can't beat the price in Madrid.
  The food look very nice. They serve very traditional Spanish dishes. Price is fair. Will go back and try the food someday.

  Wonderful little gem. Try the tortilla or salmorejo, they are excellent. Also their vermut is really nice. The only problem is that the place is small, you eat standing up and it is usually busy, but so worth it!

  Amazing tortilla de patatas! Beer is good and cheap as well. It gets super packed on the weekend but there's a back room you can go into as well. The bathroom is in the back so you have to climb under the bar, it's cool.

  Very good food with quality taste and flavour. Old and authentic style bar make sure if you want to sit you don't go on the weekend as it's packed and we went back on a week day when it was a bit quieter and they had chairs to sit and enjoy the food.

  Fantastic place! Very unusual for people who aren't accustomed to Spanish urban life. The place is so small People touch each other and eat while standing. The is second room you don't see at first glance. To access it, you have to nearly knee down under the bar. A wonderful experience!
  The walls are decorated with many bottles, notices, old ads. And, above all, you eat marvelous and yummy food! Please try their tortillas They are well known for them.
  To enjoy the place, don't arrive too late ;) or check whether the place is crowded on the Google page.
