amazing staff so helpful beyond imagination. we were up till midnight at reception to help us book a train ticket.

I'll start from stating that staff were absolutely amazing! Unfortunately nothing else deserves positive feedback; air con didn't work, one tiny soap given, uncomfortable bed, smell of cigarettes coming though the door (from smoking floor). Won't be coming back.

I had only very bad experiences with the staff, mainly at the front desk and at the reservations, who didn't make much of an effort to reply questions in a timely manner.
This has caused much inconveniences to our group, and most annoyingly, the staff didn't really care about the consequences of their lack of customer service.
I would thus not recommend the hotel to anyone - besides its obviously very convenient central location

Lovely, inexpensive room, friendly staff and in a perfect location in the old part of town. It's close to the Cathedral where shuttle buses operate frequently to Alhambra (C3). Maybe not for light sleepers as there was noise from the streets and other guests throughout both nights.
