Warm welcome, beautiful view, large room (with a bathroom larger than the master one ?), nice breakfast, 10 min walk from the beach

My friend celebrate the wedding there, the place is in a really good location just a stone drop from the city centre, the views and the castle itself are gorgeous and the food was superb.

Beautiful setting and views from the old courtyard and castle remains. I was part of a wedding party so a bit of a whirlwind stay helping setup for the day's events. However the staff were friendly and helpful. Rooms were great also.

I had my wedding in this Castillo.
The place itself is nice, as other reviews say. But, based on my experience, the administration are indeed bad people, on the edge of criminality.
We booked it months ahead, for two nights, with a full day wedding.
Several weeks ahead, the administration unilaterally cancelled one night because somebody else wanted to have their wedding the day before and they make more money from wedding nights. As a results, we had to book hotels in Malaga for the first night, last moment (peak season). And, more importantly, the castilo rooms were not available on the day of the wedding until afternoon.
There is a word for it: rip-off. For an extra buck, and against the written agreement we had, castilo has severely disrupted my wedding.
If you are thinking of having an important event here, please reconsider. Is it worth the risk?

A lovely hotel in a beautiful setting. Unfortunately you can't trust the staff. We held our daughter's wedding in the castle, and unfortunately noticed the morning after the wedding a number of items including money which had gone missing. When we reported this to the hotel, they did not seem to care and simply send us their solititors details asking us to contact them. Such a shame, as the setting was perfect, but it has left a very bad taste and on that basis I could not recommend this hotel.
