Stayed here for 5 nights in one of their duplex rooms/ apartments, lovely historic building however our room was not very practical in any sense, quite small living area, very tight spiral staircase up to the bedroom and bathroom, certainly not for those of us who are of a larger build or of reduced mobility and not really ideal for self catering in any shape or form.

Hotel was very clean throughout though and well presented with a nice pool and balcony restaurant with stunning views of the mountains, river and dam. Bar had a great selection of Gin's, spirits and beers, although, sadly the Sangria left a lot to be desired.

Restaurant food was disappointing to say the least, very hit and miss, a few good dishes and some not so good, menu lacked any daytime snacks like toasties or tapas and was quite pricey too, there are better places to eat in the local vicinity.

Would we stay here again ? Given the choice, probably not!

This has been my base lodging, when I have been hiking the popular El Camenito del Rey (October 2016)
The hike is not as dangerous as it was years before
They have made a new way, just for tourists. The old (dangerous) way is totally removed. Some remains are visible anyway.
    It is still an adventure.
Hope my followers enjoy the pictures

After the very nice walk, caminito del rey, the perfect spot for having lunch. Price/quality is very good.

You get a tasty food for reasonable price, but the restaurant is kind of open with. If you are taking lunch, make sure you are sitting under the shade. It's really hot over there. Also the restaurant is little crowded but the they serve even faster. A good place to eat and drink.
