One of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World
The last remaining of the Seven Wonders of the ancient world, the great pyramids of Giza are perhaps the most famous and discussed structures in history. These massive monuments were unsurpassed in height for thousands of years after their construction and continue to amaze and enthrall us with their overwhelming mass and seemingly impossible perfection. Their exacting orientation and mind-boggling construction has elicited many theories about their origins, including unsupported suggestions that they had extra-terrestrial impetus. What more can you say, the last ancient wonder of the world. Simply breathtaking. We got there early and were one of the first through the gates. Got to spend time close up without all the people. The guards at the gates were very decent as were the employees and touts. Recommend, 5 stars. Get there early and marvel.

One of the 7 world wonders. An exceptional experience. The full are is under an amazing renovation. You must try the new restaurant 9 Lounge. Breathing view, friendly staff, delicious food and reasonable prices.

Big. Truly BIG. 6m tons. 13 acres. Scale. Aligned to true north. Nothing random. Deliberate. Clever. How did they do it? Maybe, maybe designed and created by a Lost Civilisation. Its a work of stunning achievement. A work of love, care and attention (not slaves). Huge, high precision monumental. They got everything right. No-one can explain how they did it. Its a missing chapter from the human story.

Amazing moment and amazing experience. Went here with my best friend. We negotiate (i actually) little bit for the horse riding and get it a cheaper price :D

Amazing experience seeing the pyramids. The thing that ruined are the aggressive gang of men crowding the ticket booth acting as "guides." We were dropped off by taxi at some gate, this gate was probably not the official entrance. You can drive inside where the pyramids are. We saw busloads of tourists inside. You can ride around with a horse carriage inside if you negotiate a good price. Beware, don't get on the camels!!! One guy was asking for $50-20 USD to get down! Just be stern and say no. The government really needs to do something about these hustlers hanging around, it just RUINS the experience. It's annoying as hell and it doesn't feel safe. When you get close to the pyramids there will be more pestering you. They will try to extract as much money out of you as they can (you give them a tip & they will ask for more). It's really a shame! Better to go with a tour group to drive you inside.

It was awesome and great experience, if you can get a local Egyptian friend with you , it can be better experience, going inside the Pyramid could be tricky but could be managed. Over worth visiting place. Beware of the aggressive bunch of guides which are not really professional and try to make money without delivering any service. Camels and horse rides are ok but you should negotiate the rates and agree before riding and shouldn’t be giving any tip as they never seem to be happy even if you give them some tip. Better to focus on the beauty of the 5000 years old technology and wonder instead of just taking pictures.

Magnificent. But beware of the peoples coming as local guides. They are sometimes aggressive. If you are coming by taxi or car, do not stop at the bottom gate. You can go up to the ticket counter in the car. Going inside the main pyramids is an experience. Negotiate the rate before hand when choosing a local guide.

One of the best man made wonders ever made. Just think how creative the architects where during those times to implement a structure like this.
Once can't describe the structure and beauty of mighty pyramids through words. you have to go, witness and experience it yourself.

It was good to visit once. You can enjoy to see the great scluptur and the great desert view.
But pyramid is also a symbol of cruelly treating slaves to get a monument build so just you can be remembered for generations. For that point it is not worth. Don't know why they call them God's.
Also the vendors who push you to sell their services are also a big torture.response / report this review -

The site itself is a stirring testament to a long gone society's belief in the after life and the crucial role of their Pharaoh in said afterlife.
When you visit beware of the many people that try to sell you a ride on camels or on horses. You can perfectly enjoy the sites without them. If you do choose to purchase a ride know that the animal most likely isn't being treated well at all.
As I said the site itself is magnificent and I cannot give it less than five stars however please beware of the people trying to profit from unaware tourists.response / report this review -

Approximate Hight is 146.5 metres (481 ft). You can climb from outside the huge stone blocks and get inside the pyramid. It will be an unforgettable experience. Once inside, a guide will take you up through a narrow walk way to different rooms. Some level of stamina is needed.

This was such a traumatizing experience. The tour guides act aggressive and intimidating. The camel and horse people are also predatory. No matter what the agreed price is at the beginning of your journey it changes at the end. The tip is never enough and they will yell at you and act insulted and even throw your money back expecting more. Do not fall for it. After the man yelled and threw a tantrum he threw my money back at me! My hard earned money was not enough for him, well I picked up my money humiliated and embarrassed and he ripped it back. And started yelling insults in Arabic. Do not go there without a tour guide you will be exploited.

An experience I will never forget. These pyramids are huge and standing next to them takes your breath away. Just to think, you are standing were someone worked 5000 years ago is mind blowing.
This is very touristy and their are always people around you. Just be careful of the tour guides, who will try their hardest to get to you. There are 70% who are genuinely their to do proper business but the others are their to get a quick buck and leave a negative impression.
If you go here, make sure you head towards the desert for an unforgettable view.response / report this review -

Of the 7 wonders of the ancient world, this is the only one still standing. If you want to go in, you need to buy a separate ticket at the same ticket booth where you buy your ticket to enter the are containing the pyramids and sphinx.
The inside of the pyramid is plain (don't expect carvings or color) and it's not ideal if you are claustrophobic or have a bad back (expect almost 100 steps crouched over on a small space and another 100 standing up), but it's worth it!! Really awesome to climb into the middle of the pyramid and see the workmanship up close.response / report this review -

Great tour place. Humongous structure. It's really amazing to see how it was built at that age.
The place and surrounding is not tourist friendly. Local vendors and guides approach you only for one reason your pocket. Being such an awesome place more tourist friendly approaches can be made by relevant authorities.response / report this review -

Great Tour. You have many choices how to enjoy your tour - by horses, camels, car, utv, etc - but you have to pay attention to the price. Egyptians, really love to rip off tourists money. They'll put 100 fold price for the tour. You have to be very arrogant in making decisions, so they'll give you the real price. If it's still expensive, go find another agent. Usually the first one won't let you go easily. So don't get swindled by them. If possible bring yourself a reliable tour guide.
It's a beautiful place to visit, great memories. They'll let you ride their horses freely - running, galloping, depends on how you want to enjoy it- on the vast desert to the pyramids. I got it for the best price (60l.e) but I don't got the chance to enter the pyramids because it was getting dark. I think it'll cost a little bit high if you want to enter the pyramids.

The view itself is amazing. It is just unbelievable to look around and find that view of movies and documentaries you watched your whole life. BUT the place could be way more cared by the government. First because you pay a lot to find people there "working" as free guides, who actually take all your freedom to walk there and keep pushing you far to sell a camel or horse drive for an abusing price. Actually as a tourist you just feel that they are abusing of you all the time. It is better to go with an Egyptian friend or a good personal guide.
