Very charismatic and nice building . Large rooms, clean. Negative is the slow internet and the lack in international TV channels. Breakfast is also not really good.

Old world charm in an amazing location. Great views from the rooms (even with partial sea view ).

Water pressure in shower is ordinary.

Smoke fills the reception and hallways as with most Egyptian hotels so German efficiency can't seem to break that .

Breakfast was good. Kept running out of juice of course. And coffee was non existent on day 3 of the stay. Service friendly from one waiter, silent yet efficient from the others.

A friend told us there is a Chinese restaurant on the roof (after we left) but the hotel didn't promote it at all.

Room attendant refilled our coffee pods(junior suite) with decaf !!! Obviously not a coffee drinker themselves lol.

I have stayed at the Cecil a few times during the near 30 years or so that I have been coming to Alexandria. This time, like the ones before, it is and has always been pleasurable.

My experience there was amazing. Every one of the staff is cheerful and helpful. The room is big and super clean with an excellent view. the open buffet breakfast is very good and contains various items. I strongly recommend this place for a nice stay in Alexandria

Nice place as it built since 1930 if you like old style hotels, very helpfull staff and close to the downtown you can walk to alot of near places

Historian place.good location but needs a lot of renovation Internet speed is very slow noisy especially when disco tech starts by midnight

I have an amazing staying over there on last Sept, they offer excellent services that the staff is hurrying up to help you out having a comfortable staying without any tine obstacles. what I have enjoyed the most was the breakfast time besides the marvelous view to the Red sea every single morning.
