I came to visit for only 3 days, before a 9 day group tour of Egypt. I loved the tour, but all I could think about was this home, Salem and his family, galloping across the desert, and the wonderful trip into Cairo's old city with Mohamed Hendi as my guide. I loved this place SO MUCH I came back again this fall, this time for an entire week! I m writing this review while loafing in a hammock under a beautiful old olive tree. I'm listening to bird song, and the occasional clatter of a passing cart and horse. If I try very hard I can hear distant traffic but really, It feels like I be gone back in time. I love this house, and I love these people; traveling to Egypt and staying in this home (twice) is the best choice I've ever made!
(I m a female American, I don't speak any Arabic, and I'm traveling by myself. I feel VERY SAFE in this home!)response / report this review -

What an awesome place! A place to relax giving you tge feeling that you are living in the great pyramids, friendly staff, safe place clean place and the food was amazing :)
