Excellent hotel with one of the worlds best views. Definitely worth splurging for the pyramid view room.
You can walk from the gate up the hill to the giza plaza. Don't stop for any of the people along the way, the ticket office is past a gate at the top.
139 restaurant has excellent breakfast and it's open 24 hours.

Wow, such a beautiful hotel! We came here for the views but found the service and room to be great as well. Our room felt so comfortable with robes, slippers, and a very comfortable bed and linens. I enjoyed the balcony looking onto the pool area. The breakfast was fantastic!

Super fine hotel that was originally a royal palace. Service is excellent, rooms are luxurious and view is spectacular. Also, food is savory and dining facilities are exceptionally fantastic. A must visit/stay-in p(a)lace.

The Mena House by Marriott is literally right next to the Great Pyramids. It’s a large property with all of the amenities and the staff was incredibly nice. The bar in the lobby is a great place to have a drink after a day of site seeing, and the on-site restaurants are good too. The gym is spacious and hardly anyone else was using it. If you have status with Marriott you will access to their executive lounge, but it’s on the smaller side, but good place to grab a snack and drink. I also Uber to travel to and from downtown Cairo, and it was super easy and cheap. Be sure to hire a guide for the Great Pyramids/Sphinx the site is massive

A wonderful stay. The staff at the Marriott Mena House go the extra mile to make sure you are comfortable and happy. Great service. It's a beautiful location right across from the Pyramids. It's worth the extra for a room with a pyramid view. You will not be disappointed.

One of my favorite hotels. You’re stepping into an oriental fairytale right next to the pyramids. We stayed twice in the modern building & loved the balcony with the pyramid view. The bar and the restaurants and just wandering through the halls of the old building is an amazing experience in itself. It’s an oasis in contrast to the busy dusty city. The service is great and the staff is truly caring and sweet.

This hotel is in a class of its own. I write this review while having breakfast on the hotel grounds at the foot of the Great Pyramid. The hotel has a fantastic old world feel that is a real treasure. Walking around the hotel is like visiting a museum. It feels like staying somewhere that is a labour of love and not for profit. If you are coming to Cairo there is nowhere else you can stay with such an experience. The hotel is not cheap but it is, emphatically, worth every penny.

Great service. Amazig staff. Great food. Is an oasis of peace away from Cairo. I think it is a must to enjoy and appreciate the grandiose pyramids. To have breakfast in the terrace with fountains of water flowing surrounded by birds singing and the breathtaking view of the pyramids has no price.

Great as usual. Beautiful views and pool. Great service. Egyptian restaurant is delicious so go there with an appetite and let the waiter guide you ordering. The front desk were really helpful when I needed to get medicine for my wife. They called 2 pharmacies to find the medicine and sent it to our room in an hour. Thanks guys

The best hotel for seeing the Pyramids which are literally next door. The hotel is quite classy with good restaurants and facilities. Looks amazing and is a nice relaxing retreat from the noisy and busy streets.

It also has an interesting history of its own as one of the oldest hotels there where many famous people have stayed.

It has good security, however it's a bit awkward that sometimes when you're leaving, the security will stop you and make you wait for some random taxi driver or shop keeper even though you don't want to. Just a waste of time.

probably one of the best places in Cairo/Gizza to enjoy the view of pyramids while sipping a beer. place is historical and well kept. we went for day use which was 450 egp per person, that gives you access to pool and lunch. great experience

Good hotel that looked after me very well. Staff were great and waking up to a view of the pyramids was pretty cool. Room was comfortable, TV and internet worked well.

Gym had a decent range of equipment.

It does seem to be suffering from a lack of people though. There are four restaurants, when I went there in June the Italian was shut and the other three were never very full. I went for an explore inside the main building and it didn't look like the rooms there were used at all, the corridors had a thick layer of dust over everything. However, my area was very clean and well maintained.

My new favorite hotel! Luxury with a view of the Pyramids. Great food. Great service. The room was beautiful. Marble tile floors, generous bathroom, exquisite furniture from the 40's and oh that patio looking at the Pyramids.
