The hotel is very nicely located for the airport, and fhe staff are all incredibly helpful. We ordered room service and the food was quite nice. It seemed very affordable for the quality of service.

Super convenient hotel/location! The hotel is on the third terminal of the CAI airport and when I arrived the airport, near midnight for my overnight layover, it was VERY easy to access. The food (room service and restaurants) was nice; the hotel service was very nice; the room was pretty comfortable and this hotel totally served it purpose, with a nice touch of class. I recommend staying here, for convenience to/from the airport, especially if you have overnight layovers. It is enjoyable and easy to get to and from the airport in a short period of time (walking distance). I could very easily go with 5 stars for rating this hotel but, in my opinion, it only makes sense to stay here to hop a connecting flight. If you're vacationing in Egypt, it probably would be a little silly to only stay at this airport. But that is just my opinion. Otherwise, this hotel is fantastic.

Very good place. Professional and efficient staff. Breakfast buffet of a high international standard. Room are vast enough, clean and tidy. Worth the cost for a business trip. I would recommend avoiding rooms with a swimming pool view as the hotel is organizing wedding parties that can last up to 10:30 PM.

My flight couldn't take off so I had to stay here. It was covered by the airline so pricing will not be a factor of my review.
First impression was very positive, the lobby was clean, well decorated and the staff were friendly and effective, despite the sudden influx of people coming in to stay due to a cancelled flight, everyone was quickly taken care of and given their room.
The room was one of the smaller ones, but it had a nice arm chair, a large comfortable bed, a TV, a kettle for tea and coffee, and a large window giving a good view of the city.
Large outdoor pool and many restaurant options mean there are many activities to enjoy within the hotel.

While I had 5 hours to wait to board my plane at Cairo International Airport, I waited at the Merriden hotel. I had some few drinks and lunch. The food was delicious and the atmosphere excellent and relaxing in the Sports Bar. I loved watching football on TV and had half an hour at the pool as the weather was scorching hot. Merriden hotel is a 5 star hotel perfect in all areas. Highly recommended when you visit land of the Pharaohs.

Nice hotel, friendly staff and very good breakfast. But if you don't just do a stopover, it's better to stay closer to the city and visit some sights.

This hotel is tardy at best,I would advise anyone contemplating staying on an extended basis to look else where,while you can put up with short stays the other option is only for the foolhardy.
Be sure to keep all receipts,because the specials outlined do bear up to scrutiny at checkout time,I am out quite a few dollars because of this,Using hotel drivers does come with risks of costly delays when they decide to do their own thing.Constant interruptions by staff,staff using my room phone also cost me.Just be wary of the plastic smiles and promises of recompense.response / report this review -

Overnight-ed on way to luxor. Just walk across air-bridge no need for a taxi. Great price for well run hotel, check out a breeze Breakfast included superb. Will stay ant time. Wedding had finished by 9:30 so peaceful sleep
