Smaller hotel complex, but don't be mistaken - it's a great place for vacation!
Room was modern (in a classical style) and clean - including bathroom. We found everything we needed, and the cleaning service was great. You will also receive a big bottle of water every day.
The rest of the complex was clean and well maintained too - the reception, bar, restaurant
The beach is situated near the hotel, but you need to go downwards via stairs/pavement - this may be a problem for older people. Beach is clean, very well maintained. and you can use a beach bar.
The food is another chapter - it was simply great! Variety of meals, including various types of meat, huge variety of vegetables, fruits, sweets, cakes. You can eat at the restaurant, or at the Temple Bar. Dinners were usually themed (Mexican cuisine, Grandma's cookbook, etc.).
The service was generally great - whether it was at the restaurant, on the beach, or with room cleaning service! Our waiter was exceptional, after a day or two he learned when we usually arrive at the restaurant, prepared our table and our favorite drinks were already waiting for us when we arrived!
The only thing - when leaving, don't fully rely on the wake-up call and luggage service. This is the probably the only fault with otherwise very pleasant experience!
For me - Jaz Fanara was the best experience among my vacations in Egypt. It is definitely worth a try!response / report this review -

Exceptional hotel, huge snorkeling area, tasty food that comes in many varieties, pool is clean, staff is very friendly, sandy beach for kids, animation team is very helpful specifically with kids. Will come again for sure.

If u r looking for a hotel with good diving spots it's a place for you and it's the only reason to stay here. It's located near one of the best coral reefs, however there is no own pontoon.
Rooms here have old furniture and are bad-serviced. I had not-working phone and asked to fix it, but nobody came to do it during the whole stay. The same was with conditioning, but I managed to fix it by reloading the breakers. You should ASK for toilet paper as housekeepers don't bring it. I was in family room which is 300m far from sea, closer rooms have new TVs but are also old.
Catering is average, there is good variety of deserts and cakes. There are snacks and ice-cream in pool-bar. Once I got a plastic bag in my chicken, but it could be a bad luck.
Staff tries to be polite, but most of them do it to get a tip. There are only 2-3 of them to be really sincere. When I moved out, reception staff was angry about me bringing the bag by myself, but I could not call them! (not working phone)
The location is perfect for diving and swimming (only during high-tide, otherwise bring shoes for swimming), but you should go downstairs for 5-10min to get to the beach and there is no bathroom there. The hotel territory is green and well-lit, it has everything for family rest.

Top Hotel, sehr günstiges Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Sehr nettes Personal, gepflegte Anlage. Aber das beste ist das überwältigende Hausriff, wow!

Один з найкращих пляжів в Шармі. Сам готель хороший, їжа смачна, обслуговання хороше. Номери для проживання слід бронювати тільки СУПЕРІОР !!!

Чудовий готель. Відповідає своїм заявленим 4 *. Прекрасний піщаний пляж, поруч корали. Харчування - відмінне. Весела не нав"язлива команда аніматорів.
