Borg El Arab International Airport (مطار برج العرب الدولي) is an airport serving Alexandria, Egypt. It is located about 40 km (25 mi) southwest of Alexandria, in Borg El Arab (alternate spellings: Borg Al Arab, Burg Al Arab or Burg El Arab). The airport also serves the nearby areas of the Nile Delta.it is a nice airport.

The worst airport at all. Very stupid security measures carried out by extremely unprofessional untrained staff. Very bad and rude attitude of all airport employees and security staff.., even it deserves less than one star.

The worst airport that I've travelled so far, don't come here.
There are no essential facilities at all. No one will help you since the flight companies do not have offices here and they will regard an hour earlier than departure as being late and cannot have boarding pass!!!!
A very bad cafe outside that does not know the concept of customer service and will let you wait for their own business. And you have to choose this bad cafe because nowhere else can you find anything to eat!!!response / report this review -

Feels safe and nice small airport. Some of the personell is very kind and helpful, but others too pushy for a girl travelling alone. Also once the toilets happened to be too dirty to visit. Next time i had better experience when it was clean. They didnt have tissues for sale at all.

Airport give first images to foreigners represent of their country. HBE, Is this international airport?? Even 1 star is too much for this Airport.
We came here from Sharm El Sheikh by airplane and transfer to Doha, we still had time but there is nothing outside airport( only 1 cafe with terrible food and condition and expensive) so, we want to go inside airport to get some real food and rest same as other country's airport.
We were not allowed to come in Airport without any explanation!!!!
Security guy at outside door, he just say to us come back 5hours later.
We ask to explain the reason why we can't go in. He just ignored us.
Really can't believe this situation, we never experienced like this at other countries.
It's so terrible waiting outside airport without air conditioner during hot weather.
Never will come back here again.
Pls choice other country and other airport for transferring if you possible.response / report this review -

Too far of the city center, lack of public transportation from and to the city
Taxi owners are greedy
Limited duty free market
Crowding all time

Very limited. It's on the middle of no where. Clean and organised but not enough resources. It's more than 45 minutes to city of Alexandria in normal traffic and about 30 minutes to the closest hotel. The airport has some private owned transportation (taxis), but it's better to plan a head to be aware of the fare in advance.

There are not just the airport, it's about the Egyptian people build their land with own wisdom provinding the low cost and stable supply water inside the sand environment.
