If you are looking for comfortable and great value accommodation, look no further than Tagua Lodge. A very relaxing space with plenty of hammocks for chilling out, a kitchen and communal areas to meet other like minded travellers. The lodge is only 3 blocks from a quiet and clean beach and only a 30 minute walk to Montanita. Luis is an amazing host who speaks fluent spanish and English. He often brings to the lodge fresh organic produce from his local farm for guests to use in the kitchen. You will not regret staying here!

Such an amazing place to stay. Wish I didn't have to leave! The place itself is very clean, has a lovely little garden, well stocked communal kitchen, amazing communal areas including a hammock space, 2 dining areas and a bar area. It also has great wifi in both the rooms and communal areas. It's super chilled out and the owner, Luis, is so welcoming, kind and generous. He speaks fluent English and Spanish and is very helpful if you need any help with your Spanish. He owns a local farm and it's not uncommon for him to come home with produce he has grown and share it with everyone. The other great aspect of staying here is that it's close to Montanita, only $1.50 in a taxi or approximately a 30 min walk. I'd highly recommend Tagua to anyone. It's like a home away from home.

I came for a Week and Stayed a Month!
Luis is a GREAT host. Come and chill out!
Manglaralto beach hostel and campsite, only 20 minute walk along the beach to Montanañita. With private rooms, hot water showers, shared kitchen and WiFi, Tagua Lodge is your chill out spot on the Ruta del Spondylus.
