Lovely place, good breakfast, river goes almost through the eating area. Wooden cabins are super comfy and good beds.

Nice place. Next to the river which means you can hear it all the time. The staff were friendly enough. The breakfast was generous.

Decent place on the river with hummingbird feeders. Having walked around town and up towards the waterfall area I noticed far more "enchanting" places to stay that were slightly more expensive but included free breakfast, water and night walk tours etc. The hummingbird feeders in other places also receive alot more activity (10x the birds) and you are feet away as opposed to metres. You can visit these other places anyway, but there's always a fee!

Nicely located by the riverside, the price was ok but the rooms were badly soundproofed. You can hear the neighbour talk and walk. The staff we met didn't speak English which is ok but not easy if your Spanish is limited (Mindo is very touristic). The kitchen staff was a little unfriendly when we were using the guest kitchen. There is room to improve

Very nice place in Mindo. The river pass by the cabins and it is a nice sound for sleeping in the night. They offer breakfast in the morning and just outside there is a nice restaurant with lots of options and chocolate!!!! I always have to stay there when I visit Mindo. They also help you booking tours in the front desk.

Currently a construction site, with loud work starting at 6:30am literally outside the window. The "standard private room" which isn't cheap is so small there isn't enough room to put bags on the floor, we had to prop them against the wall at the end of the bed. The bed itself is NOT a double, it's a large single. Two people need to spoon, and if you're taller than 5 feet tour feet will stick out. The staff are unhelpful, but more than happy to take your money for tours, for which they give no info after purchasing. Don't stay here. El Quetzal next door looks lovely, try there instead.

I oh so adore this place. It's a family-run business, and it's just the cutest thing! There's a lounge area on the 2nd floor of the hostel that's open and has hammocks to give it a treehouse feel. And the rooms are clean and all just unique. Went there in 2012 for the first time and it's my favorite place to go!

Muy tranquilo y perfecto para descansar, el sonido del río es el mejor relajante natural. Un poco incomodo por la presencia de mosquitos, especialmente en la noche. Creo que sería mejor tener malla en las ventanas para evitar su ingreso.

A must see place! Located a few steps away from the famous El Quetzal de Mindo chocolate factory and cafe this amazing place accommodated our study abroad group of 14. This was my favorite place I went to on the trip in Ecuador. I will never forget it!

Nice place surrounded by beautiful nature. Small river right next to the breakfast terrace, garden with opportunity to see many birds. They also offer birdwatching tours. Ask for a tour with Rolando Garcia - he is the best and most passionate tour guide I've ever met. Even if you're not into birds it's really worth it to get up at 5am. No kitchen facilities available. WiFi is kind of slow.
