Very good seafood. Very friendly owners. Very small restaurant. Worth the visit
The place to go for fish in Cuenca. Always fresh and always delicious.
Great little seafood restaurant. Good portions, lovely seasoning and very unique shrimp burgers.
Don't go. It's small and crowded and I want the fantastically-prepared, super fresh seafood to myself. I'm a particular fan of the perfectly cooked corvina (sea bass) with choice of tasty sauces. Also the very adorable couple who run it efficiently on their own. I seriously love this place.
Absolutely the best seafood in Cuenca. Don't take my word for it - El Capitán won the Best Seafood Award from Gringo Post and is, currently, the number 1 Seafood Restaurant on Trip Advisor.
The fish was thick and had a great sauce. There are only 4 tables and the traffic noise was a bit disturbing on occasion. The owners were very friendly and the food was top notch. Definitely worth a visit.
We went there for a special birthday meal, and when we arrived they had the restaurant decorated just for us. I general would not order seafood in the mountains, but this restaurant is an exception. It was very fresh and well prepared. Part of the charm are the owners, who make any event a personal experience. Be sure to try the zucchini cake for dessert!
