Considering the current world wide situation we were able to stay at this hotel for a week
just after the lift of the confinement. Hamid went out of his way to accommodate the four of us 2 kids included in very spacious rooms. The rooms are cleaned daily and all my requests were met without any issues whatsoever. There is a nespresso coffee machine and complimentary capsules available. Mini bar restocked daily with soft drinks and water.
The security and the reception staff are very polite and helpful. Melissa and Fouzi especially.
The breakfast has a great variety of foods from cereal to salads,poached eggs,pastry and very good strong coffee. Also high chair was available for a 6 month old.
Swimming area very good also, the towels are provided and you can even order a food.
Not forgetting the location as it’s just in front of the Shopping Mall Bab Ezzuar
Overall an excellent stay. We had a great time and we definitely will be back.response / report this review -

Friendly staff and service ok. Rooms very ok and spacious.
Make sure you put valuables in the vault provided else you'll lose it. Lost money i left in my bag.

Well, I do quite love Alger and the stay in this hotel was quite a good experience. Also, you can easily find many restaurants in front of the hotel. Moreover, there is a shopping center right behind it, which is quite amazing.

Smoking smell is terrible even in non-smoking room. Due to smell, I could not stay in the rooom opening my eyes.

Very nice hotel for Algeria. Good restaurants choices Algerian, Chinese and Lebanese (personal preference the Algerian one). Small gym but well equipped. Close to the airport and decent size shopping mall in the vicinity.

One of the worst hotel I,ve stayed so far. A Bad reception service, breakfast, room service and internet connection etc.. the room smells moisture Does not deserve the price that we paid for

Reception very friendly. Room: I hate ! finding hairs from former guests on the sheets of my bed. For average Algerian Hotels (I know from experience) thats normal. Thats why we chose this time Mercure believing that we will find international standards of hygiene.
We complained twice. After the second time someone was send to change everything. Thanks for taking seriously my desire for a clean bed.response / report this review -

Although it is rated more than the Ibis close to it, I hated the experience I had there. The staff was friendly though but as per the high room rate, I would have expected a much better facilities, maintenance and cleaning. Very expensive and it is not the so called swimming pool neither the closed sauna for maintenance nor the very old gym that would make me accept such high price!

It's close to the airport and business district. That's all I liked about the hotel.
The service is bad. The food is not great. In the restaurant on every table there are plates left from the previous customer or there is no napkin or a spoon missing. They don't seem to care.
I once ordered fish with vegetables, I got mediocre fish with awful chips. As it took them quite long to fry the frozen fries I decided it's in my interest to have what they brought. I spent much more than what a beautiful tajine woud cost in the city.
Once there was only one lift working. Like many other customers I spent 10 minutes going down. I should have used stairs, my bad. There didn't seem to be any sense of urgency anyway
I could go on but it is clear the stuff needs to step up. I hope this review helps. Given the location it could be a great place to stay. Alasresponse / report this review -

I stayed a quiet long period in this hotel, the staff is very helpful and very friendly. The hotel is not well maintained specially the gym and the sauna which is under renovation since a long period. You can enjoy the swimming pool in summer. The prices of the restaurants inside are very expensive however I recommend to try the asian restaurant at least once. Very close to Beb Zouar area and to its shopping mall. Many street food restaurants just in front of the hotel. I give 4* knowing the limited chouce we have in the city of Algiers.

Helpful & friendly staff. The main hotel is very well maintained & freshly refurbished during 2017.
Food in the restaurant's is very expensive but there is a good selection on offer. The bar is quite cozy, but it can be a struggle sometimes to get hold of someone to actually serve you.
The bedrooms are starting to look a bit tiered & are really due for refurbishment.
The grounds are well looked after & you could easily spend a quiet evening sat outside.
There are a few other hotels in close proximity, which are more modern, but they are also more expensive. So if money is a deciding factor, this place may be your best bet.
Unfortunately the scenery out the windows is nothing to write home about, as there is constantly building works going on around the areas outside of the hotel grounds.response / report this review -

We went to a marriage and the food was delicious, the decoration was fair, but there was almost no air conditioning, so the place was hot and most of the attendees left the place to have some air.
