Just had an amazing vacation at Sensatori. It was everything I could imagine. We paid 4 grand for 2 people with an upgrade for a swim-up suite. With the amazing food and drinks - I'd say it was worth it. The beach isn't the best here but the butler service makes it worth it (only with premium package). I enjoyed the pools as well. It was clean and well maintained. Would love to go back!

Great resort with excellent food. So many activities, live music and shows. You feel exceptional in every way. Gourmet Village concept is a magnificent idea.

This is an exceptionally maintained hotel with maintenence and serving staff available 24 hours per day through the main reception. There are multiple restaurants which serve different types of food and all have delicious meals available. In the centre of the complex is a coffee shop that offers a wide range of drinks and snacks in a relaxed environment. The rooms are spacious with comfortable furniture and adequate storage inside along with a refrigerator, kettle and ironing facilities. The staff are very friendly and approachable, especially Wander at the Papaya Bar.
My wife and I visit the Dominican Republic every couple of years and this was our first stay Sensitory. We both agree that this is the best hotel that we have stayed in the country so far.

My co worker and I checked into this hotel with a booking of a premium butler ocean front room.
I requested a double twin bed room and the reservation was confirmed.
At the check in desk they confirmed the room was 2 double twins.
When we got to the room we saw it was a king with a pull out small sofa couch.
We did bot pay $600 for a pull out couch.
We called the front desk and the night manager Adrian started lauphing about the situation on the room until I asked him if he would sleep on the couch and he said no.
He called back saying we cant help you and we have nothing available. We checked out right away.
This was the worst customer service I have seen. The hotel is new but feels like a orlando style over priced best western.

Be careful with the swim up room. I found several cockroaches in this hotel in different rooms. I found the first cockroach the second day in the hotel room. Even after I changed to a different room I found another one in the bath towel. It was just gross because I picked the towel and was going to use it. The cockroach was just in the towel and start moving quickly when I opened the bat towel. I found the third one in the room when I was going to check out. How could there are so many cockroaches in a five star hotel room ? :(

I have visited this island several times but this was my first stay at Sensatori Punta Cana. If you want a relaxing holiday/vacation then this is perfect. The staff are polite and their customer service is amazing (especially Wander at the Papaya Bar). The hotel is very clean and has staff 24 hours a day maintaining the grounds.

Brilliant holiday thoroughly enjoyed. Food excellent, Service excellent, Rooms clean and tidy even the odd cockroach looked clean reported to staff who just weren't interested in removing them 😧, Customer service was acceptable BUT they would promise you to sort things out but never followed it up, asked several times and am still waiting for things to be sorted. Restaurant staff, service and food brilliant.
Intention: Holiday in Domincan definitely again, (next year) but not to that location.

Fantastic brand new hotel with amazing choice and quality of food. The beach is also well maintained and has baldaquin beds and cocoon. Staff of the hotel is really helpful and the evening shows are great. An unforgettable experience with high standards, we would recommend anybody hesitating to go ahead, that hotel can't disappoint you (except if you are used to go to four seasons).

Great hotel, good selection of all in a La carte and buffet restaurants, clean pools, dry an sunny weather (late October), nice beach, great rooms, new hotel in 2016 with a modern design and no expense spared. However, many of the swim up rooms have their swim up pool in shade almost all day and the adults only pool section does not have it's own pool bar (although they are apparently considering adding one in). An issue is that some other guests we xpoke to paid less than we did for better rooms. Stayed a fee miles along the coast at Secrets Royale last year and Sensatori compares well as a more modern equivalent.

Lovely hotel and wonderful friendly staff. Food at Sugarcane can become a bit predictable but usually something to choose, you can also book at the other restaurants which is included in package. You book these through your concierge, who on the 3 occasions we saw him he tried get us to attend a presentation apparently not time share!!!!. The Thompson reps were helpful and readily available, we took the premium package although not certain it was money well spent. Would recommend hotel but be aware the disruption that can be caused in hurricane season, we lost nearly 4days of our holiday having moved out of the path of hurricane Maria.

Really nice resort. Clean, friendly staff and amazing food. We stayed here for a week in august and loved the resort. Romantic dinner on the beach was really nice serviced by Alexander the great :) Orabios in the buffet was super helpful and made our lunch visits with the kids easy. We also tried the Italian restaurant and it was awesome 5 star dinner. Not big on the beach, but still was nice if not for the seaweed this time a year.
Would recommend the stay especially in building 9 closer to the beach.

We booked this hotel expecting an adult only resort as advertised but were shocked to find that it is shared with Nikolodeon tons of kids and families around. Complete mis-advertising. For a 4-5 star resort, we found the food quality to be sub-par (except K23). Don't make the mistake of ordering from room service. We fell sick from food poisoning middle of our vacation (did not eat anywhere else except at the resort) - one nice thing was one of the managers got the doc to visit our room after we told her about our ordeal during the stay. On the positive side the resort is clean and most of the staff are nice people - except a few :- one of the male receptionists at Nikolodeon checkout (who attended to our family-members checking out on April 8), and some of the sales people at personal concierge (whose only job is to convince you to signup for Karisma membership, which is a total waste of time) and the manager of the water sports equipment shack - the rudest guy in the entire resort. We did not appreciate the fact that they did not honour their complementary massage when we went to book it (which was offered by management in lieu of not being able to give our family the swimup rooms they had booked). This is overall a sleepy, boring resort barely any daytime entertainment/activities for adults; the water sports equipment shack shuts down at 4 pm - wayy too early. Better bang for your buck elsewhere. Never going with Karisma again.

After having been to this resort, when I read the 4 star and higher reviews it is so obvious they are paid to write all that non-sense.

It's not a true Sensatori hotel. It shares the resort with a Nickelodeon Hotel, and they are polar opposites. As such the place is literally overrun with American families. So if you're expecting the real Sensatori experience, you will be sorely disappointed.

poor quality, poor service and poor standards for a tui sensatori hotel. Shared with Karisma's Nickelodeon which I was not told about. Save your time and money and go elsewhere.

Jan. Feb. 21 nights, Solitude or activities, great food, huge choice, asian, curry, burgets, scilian, fine dinning, buffet. Some on these sites moan about the children, well avoid them but 99% are well behaved. Just one 2 year old threw stuff around but the two famlies with him let him run wild only his dad tried to restrict him, mother just drank, From USA. We will be back.

Not a true Sensatori. Shared with family focussed Nickleodeon . lots of children /babies in restaurants, around the main pool and at the Gourmet Village restaurants which were supposed to be for adult.only use. Lovely Honeymoon room (although no full length mirror). Food quality was average and adult only eating area closed off if there is a wedding reception or other function. Small theatre, not much in way of entertainment (juggler and hotel group singing Abba songs). Won't be going back.
