About the Gallery and Studio
Sangiovanni Art Gallery & Studio , located in the heart of the historical district of Santo Domingo, the first Colonial American City built by the Spanish conquistadores and beautiful capital of the Dominican Republic city, opens as a cultural space for the exhibition, enjoyment and creation of works of contemporary art , the finest and universal high creative level.
Located on the second floor of an old house on the street Archbishop Meriño No. 111, has showroom, office and workshops for diverse expressions of the visual arts. It has hosted for more than ten years, the study of the artist and creator Dominican Carlos Sangiovanni , who decided to inaugurate the public Gallery - Studio, the June 27, 2013 . The opening of this new cultural space in the Colonial Zone , welcomed the new exhibition of paintings and ceramics by Sangiovanni , entitled ¨ The Last Tree ¨.
Sangiovanni Art Gallery & Studio , aims to be a space for experimentation, the development of creative talent , reflection on cultural issues and dissemination of genuine and new forms of expression in the arts , consonant with our philosophy of artistic creation.
