Second time staying here it’s definitely worth it for the value. Rooms are always clean , breakfast served daily and there is a very courteous hostess Elizabeth Bobadilla who is always pleasant and very attentive there is also a pool which has a separate bar/ restaurant which usually has a nice atmosphere and great music with an option to purchase food and drinks. In addition you have a Casino on the bottom floor and you are on by five minutes away from various malls and Uber comes in handy. Definitely recommend. 👍🏻👍🏻

THE ABSOLUTE WORST HOTEL IN SANTO DOMINGO, the sheets are disgustingly dirty, the managers are so ignorant and mean, the showers do not work, they charged me 85 dollars to do one load of laundry, the pool is disgusting, DO NOT STAY HERE BEWARE OF THE FLASE ADVERTISING

I had to make 2 separate reservation when I saw I was flying in before 3pm. I booked a room for the previous day because I was arriving at 3am. Told them for 2 people. When I came in the hotel was not about to locate the prior reservation, just for the room I had to booked the extra night. They also charge me because the prior reservation said 1 guess, while the new reservation for the room I booked the night prior to my arrival said 2 guest. I forgot my tooth brush, so be ready to pay 160 pesos. Be ready to pay for remote control. It is 5 dollars. Ohdid I mentioned when I arrived at 4 am exhausted and waiting 40 minutes for them to figure out their system. They gave me a room with guests already in there, of course sleeping.Imagining waking up in the middle of the night with someone opening your room door. Overall, free breakfast. Rooms, gym and pools are clean.

I stayed at the Ramada Santo Domingo in October 2016. It is easily among the worst hotels I've ever stayed at. Room was musty and tired without a window. Service was non-existent. The pool are was filthy, and not maintained. Breakfast was very poor. When I checked-out the hotel used a much higher exchange rate (their own internal rate) and failed to do the conversion correctly, almost overcharging me in the process. The hotel is located in a dangerous part of town; and it isn't safe to walk around at night.

This was the worst experience ever, and we were in town for a funeral!!! 5:00 AM- When we checked in with the clerk at the front desk the gentleman Jose Agusto was extremely rude! After he repeatedly said "whatever" to us for everything , he then put us in a dirty room #322. The room smelled like a dead mice and the sheets were extremely dirty.

7:30 AM-After change of shift, we went and asked for a room change, a nice girl by the name of Greyci Baez changed are room. She asked no questions, she explained the room was not to be used. She then put us in room #324, as went into to the room, it had red writing on the wall with a phone number and smelled similar to #322. I immediately we went back to the front desk.

We explained room #324 to Ms. Baez but, she said there were no more rooms because they had to be cleaned. However, leave our bags at the front desk and once we return from the funeral a room will be available.

9:00 PM- As we arrived back from the funeral a new clerk was at the desk and was unaware what we were talking about. After waiting 20 minutes, she found a note stating our room was changed. She gave us room #522 although the smell was gone. The water pressure was so low and the water took an hour to go down, after one person showered. The sheets were a little cleaner but, still dingy and unacceptable.

I am mortified!!!!!!!!!! To end on a positive note the pool area was nicest thing about the stay.

Excellent customer service, the young woman at the desk named Maria or Mery (I really don’t recall, but she told me she was only in charged of the check-outs) treat me and my whole family wonderfully, very friendly and kind, did everything she could to help me book my room from my phone when that wasn’t even her responsibility. I did not stay too long but i was extremely pleased with this hotel’s staff service. only wished the check-in would be a bit earlier like at 12pm or 1pm. but makes sense since the check-out is at 12pm though. 👍🏻. Muchas gracias.

If your are spending one or two nights and don't mind the old fashion decorations, full size bed, less than average breakfast or an air conditioner that takes an entire night to get cold, then this is the hotel for you. Otherwise, I do not recommend this hotel.

I chose this hotel because it was the best deal in town at the time. At arrival to the hotel the staff was very welcoming, we were able to park immediately. As soon as I stepped into the hotel a casino welcomes you , I felt a little out place. The check in is in the second floor. The room was not as spacious as other hotels that I have stayed in. The furniture was outdated, I even found some stains in the bed sheets. There was no refrigerator in the room. Otherwise, the stay was good they have a gym and room service until 4am pretty cool since food places close early in Dominican Republic.

Horrible hotel. I stayed there for 3 nights and had no hot water the entire stay. After being told it was an isolated issue with my room I found out from other guests there was no hot water in the entire building. The breakfast consisted of same donuts from previous 3 days. Eggs were cold as was coffee.Bathroom towels were shredded and ripped at the edges. They added extra charges they couldn't properly explain and then the desk clerk lied to my face when asked about hot water with another guest calling her on it. It finally dawned on why the evenings were packed with people at casino and nightclub but empty when morning came. Many locals said they wouldn't actually stay there. It appears this hotel has had this type of service for some time because there were too many poor customer service instances .$74 US is what I was paying, Third world country or not this experience was unacceptable by ANY standards! Will be writing Ramada corporate a letter!!!

Let's start off by saying that I had to put a star to be able to write this comment if not I would give this place no stars . I can admit the rooms are huge that's about it . As soon as we came in and did check in the front desk representative was HORRIBLE AND RUDE . we let that pass by , then they made us wait an hour because they were cleaning our room which was fine . Until we came to the room there was no towels , no toliet paper , nothing ! Breakfast is included but the food isn't good quality at all and the service there is horrible , they give you attitude for anything you ask for . Also we asked for an extra bed , they never mentioned about a charge till check out . DONT COME HERE TRUST ME .

No English speaking staff, no carpet, dirty floors, stained and frayed bedding, no windows unless you count the one looking into the hallway, cracked mirror, construction dust and dirt, garish lighting, worn and frayed upholstery on the one chair, dirty shower, everything was in some sort of decay or disrepair and since there isn't carpet anywhere, VERY NOISY!! Would recommend if you like prison cells.
