This hotel is definitely not on my list to go back. The main problem: service sucks this people are not professionals at all! bed is not comfortable, fridge in room not working, leak outside my room from ac. I wonder how someone can put a good review for this? Im pretty sure hilton in santo domingo will appreciate the business you guys will send to them.

Staff has always been polite when I visited this hotel. Rooms are always clean. They have a nice pool area, a great masseuse on location, a gym and a restaurant/bar down stairs. They have another restaurant on the 5th also. This hotel is in walking distance of other restaurants, banks, the beach and stores.

The hotel is clean and the staff is helpful. The area is a little isolated and I didn't feel too comfortable walking around the neighborhood. There is visible security in the lobby so I felt safe on property

Beautiful hotel right in the heart of Santo Domingo. Just a short uber ride to the colonial area. Room was clean and very comfortable. Very secure too!! Lots of security. Breakfast buffet was amazing!!

The only reason why I would stay here again is if I needed to stay somewhere central in the city or to be near SDQ airport, otherwise this place is not ideal if you are on holiday. The staff are friendly but not very efficient nor properly trained. We stayed on the 15th floor and even there the traffic noise was unbearable as the hotel is located on a very busy main street. The rooms were ok and relatively clean but the decor is dated and the rooms are not very sound proof. The view facing the ocean was nice but you cannot really enjoy it through tinted and dirty windows.

Definitely not a 5 star hotel. The sheets and curtains have wholes in them. I called room service one night and they hung up and never called back. The only good thing about this place was the view and the breakfast buffe. I would say its more like a 3 star hotel.

A beautiful property, big luxury and comfy rooms, expectacular ocean view, very friendly staff. Not happy with their $38 charge for any visitor.

Not in on ideal area. The staff is great as well as service. The rooms are decent, bed bugs are common in this area. Only good rooms if you are in suites. And on the right side of the building(it has the best view). It's in front of the ocean. Ocean is brown and dirty. It is on a busy street. The pool goes up to 3ft and some inches. Staff are bilingual on entrance, beyond that expect Spanish only. The only reason why I was in this hotel was due to work purposes. Won't ever consider on my own leisure. Reasons why, because there are way better hotels in Dominican republic.

Love my stay here so far. It's very clean and the staff is extremely friendly and attentive. Our check in with Martha was seamless. I would love to stay here again.

Stayed 2 nights here and got a extremely great rate from. Expedia, with that I didn't expect much for the price. Well I was wrong. The room was huge with a gorgeous view of the sea (unfortunately it was raining on my visit) the design of the hotel was nice and very clean. A wonderful pool on the 7th floor over looking the Malecon. My reservation came with breakfast which I thought would be your standard Continental style with a few things..was I ever wrong, omlette station, nice breads, meats and cheeses typical Dominican breakfast items. All in all a great stay.

A very bad experience. The administration has a huge misunderstood of the meaning of good customer service, they will do every effort to rip you off with a charge of $38.95 per visitor, so you are on vacations and no one can visit you? if I decide to have a meeting with one of my customers should I pay $38.95, this is a totally ridiculous policy. Nothing bad on the property, great employees (specially those girls at the front desk) , great human resources because they have the best personal, just a bad administration by trying to make an extra income with this visitors policy. I just paid a reduced fee (still huge, otherwise my girlfriend can't go upstairs), still very unfair for guests. After paying there abusive fees for my girlfriend's visits the hotel didn't attached the payment proof so my girlfriend came again and the hotel didn't allow her access making her feel bad for this and forcing me to come down and solve the issue. After that my girlfriend decided not to be humiliated again by feeling like a prostitute with this and decided not to come again, she was the reason of my trip so I decided to check out 4 days earlier and loosing all my money in this expensive bad experience.
At my early checkout the girls at the front desk made several attempts to get me in contact with their manager but I waited for her for a long time and she never showed up forcing me to leave because otherwise I will loose my trip to Fort Lauderdale.
I will update this review depending on the administration, so let's see if they take any responsibility, Confirmation no. 9084134

This property used to be a Hilton and has since gone down hill noticeably. The rooms are well furnished but showing wear on the hard surfaces. The towels are of a coarser quality than expected. The windows in some rooms do not seal well, making it hard to keep out the street noise or late night parties from the adjacent residences. The pool bar is nice and the restaurant cuisine was very good with a European touch. This is good because there is not much nearby and it's not a great neighborhood to go walking around.

    Regular experience overall.
Pros: Friendly staff. Very pleasant experience in the lounge on floor 5; Nice meal in the restaurant on Floor 5 (try the red snapper with seafood sauce if no allergies) Nice breakfast (should move to including it in the room price which is reasonable for a 3/4 star hotel.
Cons: Problems with the elevator key, cable signal. Cable TV offerings suck. There appears to be a need for better deployment of staff/increase in staffing.

What really ruined my stay here is that whenever I wanted to bring a visitor they would tell me that I must pay extra 40 USD for a guest. I was telling them that this is not a guest but a visitor. And the staff at the reception desk would be asking how long would this person stay in your room. I felt that my privacy was invaded. And I actually booked a hotel for 2 people. This is ridiculous. Also no beaches nearby. I'll never stay in this hotel again. There are a lot of other hotels who allow visitors. I do not recommend this one.

The staff was not very professional and keep your eyes open with the prices at the restaurant because it's not worth it. Another thing don't tip them because they automatically deducted from it "De ley" that's their tip. The pool is very small and it's only open until 7pm. The view isn't great even if is ocean front.
