Great food and drinks!
Beautiful resort. Water park is amazing!!!
Staff isn't very helpful.
Free wifi everywhere in the resort.

Watch out for this Hotel things go missing!!! and bad Service!!!
The hotel on the outside looks nice, the swimming pools, beach and rooms are lovely but its the staff that are the issue.
I had the Platinum package here and it was great as got a nice room, mini bar with a few extras and also a butler service (which I should of used more of.
So on arrival everything is nice we are taken to a private platinum club area with drink, food and comfy chairs to check in. Once we were sorted our butler gave us a small tour of the complex and then to our room and showed us all the essentials and as his my butler for the next two weeks I tip him a few bucks as you do. Once he leaves just 5 minutes after the check in guy comes banging on our door asking is everything OK which i thought was normal but you could tell he was hanging around for a tip which I didn't give.
The Room offers great space, comfy bed, nice balcony area, good size bathroom and just a good felling to relax in.
We looked around the complex which has a brilliant water park, quiet pool areas with private platinum beds and bar (very nice) we went into the sister hotel The Royalton which allows us to use this facilities so nice pools again and beach area plus a private Platinum beach area which has free cooked/cold food and drink (this was top quality and loved it) the staff here were very nice I have to say, if you did tip them they would really look after you, (we didn't tip but felt we still got a great service).
The restaurants are nice, clean and friendly front staff but that's where it ends. The food is below average and they just repeat the same stuff day in day out and really gets boring. The waiters are useless unless you tip them of course. All drinks are behind a counter and after a number of times me asking for drinks and not getting anywhere I decided to do it myself but got told quickly they would do it, but of course they didn't. Once again its the staff that really lets this down and also the food.
Evening entertainment is nice as there's a club, beach party once a week, and different acts like circus etc and this is great and you can tell they go all in for this as its at The Royalton, but go early and get a good seat as it fills quickly. the also have the theatre area with stage performances which is very good and the dancers work hard, im not saying its amazing but still a great show plus platinum holders get popcorn :-).
There's not much outside the complex just a small market with all the same gear, if you want to go further then you need a taxi. We did go for an excursion (all of them are expensive but this looked good for the price) we done a buggy drive and it was brilliant so def do this as you go to different locations and get some culture and visit a lovely pool area.
Going back to the staff this is the real part that makes everything so bad about the place. i will say its not everyone there and if you say its because I didn't tip well I only tip for good service that someone has done every other holiday i have had brilliant service and have tipped halfway in the holiday and at the end to make sure who deserves it.
The Staff really wont help if you don't tip and this is due to a lot of guests just tipping for no reason which brings the staff service down. At the end of the holiday we usually tip the cleaning maids a good amount as they usually have a hard job but during our stay we had to complain as a number of times our beds weren't changed plus blood on towels which when you pay extra for you expect a good service, on the night before our departure one of my partners rings went missing, we looked everywhere and my partner def knew where she left it so we suspect it was the cleaner.
Long story short the police were useless so take a local to translate other wise nothing will happen and expect a 3 month wait for the report from the hotel.
Useless hotel and i would never go back or recommend it, the experience put a real downer on DR for me and would think twice before returning.response / report this review -

Óptimo hotel, magnífico servicio , personal muy atento, alegre y cordial. Mi lugar preferido Splash Bar donde encontrarán música, diversión y deliciosos cócteles.

Entertainment Staff where the best but over all they all where very helpful and accommodating, from the chef to the building concierge Kids had a great time and was always finding something new to do didn't get a 5 due to it shares the place with the Royalton and you need to walk pass that resort to get to the beach.
