Nice old fort, only a short time needed to visit for 100 pesos it's good. Not much to see inside, but really cool if you like really old things. Nicely lit up at night, and you can take a nice stroll with great ocean views.

Beautiful park, on the water. There may be locals selling jewelry, local crafts, etc. They are not pushy.

Cool little piece of Puerto plata history to check out. Like most tours better to do it on your own than be herded around with a group. It's safe and easy to get around.

Nice place to visit with their newly built amphitheater, and renovated surrounding area. Sunsets are beautiful to watch.

The area is still slightly underdeveloped and could use a few more sidewalks. Has a historic site. There are lots of local vendors that approach you immediately as you arrive. There are some nice views from the point and the fort.

Considering it was an old fort and is now a landmark, it has wonderful views! They also have translator devises upon entering the fort.
The grounds are quite large with an outdoor amphitheater to host up to around 1000 people.

This is one of the most important place in the history of the Dominican Republic. The fort San Felipe well known as "Fort Luperon" too, that is located here in La Puntilla (Puerto Plata), was built by the Spanish that came to the country in 1577. This is an beautiful, emblematic and historical place that everybody must visit when come to DR.

Now there are more attractions for the tourist, the colossus and imposing "the amphitheater of the Atlantic" with a beautiful view to the beach behind, also there is a big and large mirror wall, so you can take a lot of pictures. I won't tell you more, just go there and enjoy this majestic, historical and beautiful place.

Just upgraded recently upgraded. Very beautiful park to enjoy the beauty that the Dr provides. There is also a fort to visit as well which provides a brief history of the country.
