A nice central park. Not very big, and hot with no shade, so go early to look around. A hour is more than enough.
Cute little but very historic plaza. They had music playing and a few restaurants where you can eat. We were encouraged to stay within the area for safety.
This park is lovely. You can grab a bite to eat am d sit on the park benches in this park. There are always people dressed up in costume, taking photos with travelers. There is a fresh coconut water stand in the plaza. Such a nice little plaza.
Beautiful Catholic congregation that welcomes visitors and even hands out translations of Sunday readings. Very active youth group that do a great job with the readings and singing.
Many things to see near here. Good cultural history. But many people feeding birds here which attracted a swarm of pidgeons.
I personally am not interested in churches, but this was very beautiful to see with all of its stained glass and Mahoganny wooden pews.
You may even get to feed the pigeons outside!
It is a nice place to visit, it shares it's history with the buildings around, it can be a bit hot during the day in summer but during the night it's fine.
Tiny downtown with tons of people trying to tell you about the history of the place for money. I felt safe with the police armed with shotguns everywhere. The "guides" will desperately try to take you to the "Amber Museum" so that they can get their cut of the sales of merchandise to tourists.
Smaller than expected, but it just reminded me that Puerto Plata is a small town. I loved the pigeons, they are always a welcome addition to any public park. I went on a Sunday, so I just sat at the park. I don't know if there is usually a tour of the house. I also loved the Christmas decorations and they had a nativity scene setup.
Scenic view of the church can be seen. Local artist offer portraits. An ice cream store its close by.
Beautiful at nigh.Very romantic when it rains. Awesome restaurant in the corner Bergantin, love the clam chowder.
Very nice place to walk around there is plenty to see and try.
Its really beautiful at night, there is a good restaurant crossing the street
Beautiful old buildings lots of local culture.

There is nothing much to see.
Beautiful architecture. Be sure to visit the church

Lively no matter the hour.
Main recreational place for Puerto Plata citizens.
