  Iberostar Bávaro Golf Club is an inland course located just behind the oceanside Iberostar Resort complex. Designer P.B. Dye transformed a naturally flat landscape into a challenging course that incorporates undulating terrain, 105 sand bunkers, lakes and several rocky outcrops.

  Good course for most players except maybe the long hitters and low handicappers as I played all week 5-7 shots lower than in my home course in Canada. Greens are around 8-9 and roll well. bunkers need to be improved as there is too many small and sometimes larger rocks, and they are too compacted. Pace of play is usually good, less than 4 hours, and if you play early like me it will be 3 hours for a twosome or threesome. Service in pro shop is good but they don't speak much English (don't ask for something unusual)

  Pros:
  - Most of the holes were beautiful
  - Drink cart came around regularly, every few holes. All drinks are free!
  
  Cons:
  - Rental clubs are TERRIBLE! Very beat up and several years old. They must have made thousands off these by this point! Buy some new clubs!
  - The holes which weren't beautiful were in dire need of repair. There were several holes that looked terrible and were difficult to play.
  - No cold towels provided at the start of play Only at the very end. No towels provided for clubs either.
  
  Bottom Line: Be wary of playing this course, experience may be better if you bring your own clubs.

  I played this course on June 29th 2017 after 1pm. $99 to play and Presidente beer included. That was a surprise. The conditions were great. Worth the money. Nice layout, consistent greens and palm trees. The sea breeze was there, but you do not see the ocean. Still a great layout. The beverage cart was available even when you didn't need a refill. The one par three has a star shaped sand trap all around the green. And I managed to find it just after it was machine raked. Fried egg, still managed a 4. Play it.

  Nice course with plenty of sand and water to keep you on your toes. Unfortunately it is over priced and the buggy tracks are in need of repair but all in all it's a very nice round of golf.
