Spent 4 days here and let's go pros and cons to give everyone a good idea of the real review and not a hyped up fake one.
    Pros
    Extremely cheap through travel websites
Cleanliness is a definite amongst the staff
    Room cleans staff is tops
The grounds are beautiful along with the beach
    Beach is within walking distance
Pool seating and lounge beds always available
    Beach seating is easily accessible

    Cons
The food is definitely good and plentiful the quality of the beef burgers and steaks is sub par
The entertainment staff isn't very inviting as they should be for most of their activities listed
The activities aren't ever on time, often they never actually happen
The activites are never in their listed locations
The drinks are great but the quality of the liquor is definitely cheap, although you can bring premium spirits for your own drinks
The staff doesn't really keep track of bar cleanliness so of you notice your drink might have something floating in it speak up
The timeshare staff WILL hound you into sitting down for over 2 hours to try to sell you extremely pricey timeshare
If you come early be prepared to pay a fee for early check in

Overall the resort is definitely a solid 3 star due to the pros and cons listed above. They could definitely improve on many things and would greatly benefit from them.

The food was good with many options in the buffet, in the a la cart restaurant needs some changes, specially at the sea food restaurants. The service in all the restaurants is very good. There are many activities at the resorts and also outside, we went to paradise island and waterfall that was extremely good.

Room 7112 was really nice and clean with enough spaces, Guest Service made a nice room decoration with roses for my wife, we appreciate it a lot.

The beach was nice and clean, the weather was nice, very sunny.

The hotel was quiet many old people, but nice because there are not children’s.

We went to celebrate our honeymoon, at first our room was not ready because the hotel was full in its entirety, but that was no reason to stop enjoying it, in compensation for the waiting time, we were rewarded with a superior room near the hotel. spa

We could not go to the fish restaurant because we fell asleep and it was time, we had to go to the buffet, however we went to the oriental and the meat on the grill.

The activities are very varied, the reception staff is very kind especially, Michel and the youth of the customer service Francisco and Hamler.

It was a very relaxing stay, thanks for the good service.

My fiancé and I stayed here for 5 days and the resort was everything I expected it to be. The rooms were actually nice , the only thing I would change would be the water pressure in the shower. The pools were nice , one for quiet and one for partying with tons of activities and wonderful staff. The beach was nice could do without the locals trying to sell things but, that’s expected when in a different country. The ONLY complaint I have is the food not many options and what they have is not very appetizing . If you ask one of the staff members they can order something local for you which is soooo yummy. Overall I would definitely stay at this hotel again , especially with the staff which are super nice and accommodating!

This is our second year here and we love it. The staff are friendly and very kind.
The one staff member that stands out for us is Veronica. She has been a shining star and she is like a daughter to us. She is excellent!!!
The rooms are beautiful and clean. The pool area and bars are amazing. The beach is gorgeous and the water is warm.
The Spa has amazing staff. I would highly recommend having a massage while staying here.
The food is excellent, you will never go hungry!!!

I know you get what you pay for, but this truly was the worst experience of our lives! The place does look exactly like pictures, but very decieving. Upon check in and reading reviews we asked for a room away from pool and theater due to noise. We were give a room exactly in front of theatere. We asked to be moved as the noise was extremely loud. We moved to building 6 and the noise was very low. Upon arrival to room, it was very clean. Only a sheet on bed, no blanket. Asked for a blanket and did get one. The water has warnings every where and they give you gallon jugs everyday but do not restock fridge with other beverages.. you get one beer, one pepsi, one 7up, for a 5 night stay. Now after eating lunch at buffet which is the best choice you have there, the food was ok.. you are not aloud to eat at other restaurants there on your first night, you have to make a reservation for the other 2 restaurants every day to eat at them, and only have a few choices on menu that are free. Yes you have to pay extra for upgraded meals. And to be honest, the food was better at buffet. I hate to say it but the chicken was the best thing they had, I think I have feathers now! The wait staff and maids are the nicest people you could ever want to meet! The front desk was terrible!! As we complained every day about how hard the bed was , and I do mean I considered sleeping outside in the pool chairs!!! It was almost like sleeping on a floor!! I have visited many places and never have I slept in a bed this hard or gotten sick every time I ate something. I spent every night between 2 am and 5 am in the bathroom!! And the excursions are really, really over priced, double the cost on Punta cana side. Even paid for local to take us on a tour and got hustled the whole day on souviners, prices were crazy!! Fake cigars rolled with banana leaves , asking 300 for 25$.. seriously? The alcohol is so watered down you can't taste it! We did go on a tour of Berglund rum factory and the prices were very reasonable, we paid 60 for a nice bottle , the airport sold for 145$. The poor animals in front of hotels are tied to stick in fields in blazing sun with no shade or water . Speaking of water, it is brown, not blue, it's very windy on this side of island. The beach is very very small, all the chairs at pool and beach taken every morning by 9 am. They give you 2 cards for towels that you have to check in and out every day. They also brand you with a bracelet to tell what you get or don't get. And last but not least you get one room key and you are forced to slide in wall to turn power and AC off and on. So if your not in room you can't leave AC or fan on!! All I am saying is save your money go to Punta cana instead! Unless your a viking, come for prostitutes and don't care where you sleep!! Good luck..p.s. you have to pay daily for a safe to secure your items and pay for wifi! The concierge said they wanted to show us around and pushed us into a time share presentation which we quickly got up and said NO!!

It's not as new as the pictures show but money to quality ratio is ok. Staff is welcoming, they try to do their best to keep customers happy.

Outdated resort but still a pleasant stay. Three pools with one small one that closes at 11 p.m. One big buffet and a small snack bar. A la carte was bad. Stick with the buffets. Conveniently close to Cabarate and Sosua.

The staff tries really hard but the facilities are just so outdated. We were disappointed by the food. We found the room comfortable but found 2 cockroaches which just sealed the deal. We will not be going to any Blue Bay Resort again.

    Just staying for a New Years Party;
got pitched the VIP Package too many times,
my friends room safe never worked and was not comp'd
ants in the room on the table under tv - 1302
food is prepared ok - be careful of washed salad and fruit

On the positive, the girls at the spa recover the negatives some. And the party on New Years was good, fireworks on the beach.

    Always be careful when traveling

Probably 3 star. Very friendly staff. Food ok and well cooked, no issues with stomach bugs. Rooms are looking a bit tired, but 3 pools and good service. Private beach with few people. Adults only.

Front desk receptionist treated us horrible. 4 hour drive to get there and one of us forgot out our passport they made us stand in the hotel lobby for 30 minutes until we found a way to email them a copy or they said we can take the 4 hour trip back to get the passport. Finally we had to leave we went to sunscape two resorts down explained the situation and within minutes we had a room and an amazing stay.

I didn't know what to expect coming to an adults only resort, I could not be happier with what I found. They have tons of activities planned if you don't want to leave the resort, but there is lots to do off-resort too. It is a little noisy, but at 11 they shut it down and move it to the beach so you can sleep. The food is ok, pretty bland, but I guess when some people think pepper is spicy they have to play it safe. Child-free is the only way to be, almost everyone here is happy, you don't have to watch your behaviour or language at the risk of offending a parent. There are aggressive salespeople on the beach I recommend getting a package that gets you the VIP beach area - they will still bother you but are easier to ignore there. Everyone's English here is superb, but a little Spanish helps grease the wheels. Tip well and mind your manners and you'll be well received. There were a couple cockroaches in our room, you have to be mindful not to drink the tap water, and some of the tourists from what I'll call the "Integrated Empire" were fairly pushy and self absorbed. Ultimately though, great spot, great staff, get the VIP package.

It was extremely relaxing. The food here was wonderful, everything had a great flavor and the rooms were really pretty. Not luxurious but pretty. My bed frame had a blue light around it which was very sexy to use if you were with your other half ;) I recommend this resort especially if you just want to spend time relaxing with your partner. The employees went out of their way to meet my needs as well !!

    Positives:
    - Crew and Faculty were great
    - Great entertainment
    - Multiple Pools, gym, bars, beach and everything is very close by
    - Lots to do near the resort
    - Food was above what I was expecting. very good

    Negatives:
    - Alcohol at the all-inclusive bars wasn't the best. But there is another bar that has good alcohol and it's not too expensive
    - Lots of vendors trying to sell everything on the beach and outside of the resort. Kind of annoying but expected.

Great accomadation. Three pools 2 with music and entertainment the other is totally chilled. All you can hear is the wildlife. Nightly entertainment. Great food and for each week you stay you can book into the three al-a-cart restaurants Steak-Fish-Oriental. There's also a 24 hr bar/snacks o not the beach. Plenty of sun loungers around pool and on beach.

Very pleased with our stay. Clean, fun and the food is quite good. The staff takes genuine pride and seem to enjoy their work. The resort is well used, but was under constant unobtrusive maintenance. Afternoon tea is a lovely addition. Thank you!

Spent a week her with my wife just after the worst rains the area had seen in years. The resort is showing its age, but the food at the buffet was great. The reservation only restaurants left room for improvement. Room was clean and tidy. A few drips in torrential rains, but great AC and everything dries up quickly. Great people and a beautiful area. I would certainly go back!
