This place is falling apart, the service was reasonable but it’s clear they don’t go above and beyond for anything here. The food tasted like it was made the previous day. Our sliding glass door was broken and the people having sex in the room next to us we’re really loud. Also it was quite professional to hear the cleaning ladies gossiping in the hallways as they worked. The only good part about the whole place was the beachside bar. The woman (Maria) there had a great attitude and made good drinks!

Good for the price. Entertainment and Water Sport activities were excellent. I highly recommend the scuba diving and snorkel activities. The instructors were awesome. The food was ok but the kiosks near the beach are great. The rooms are just ok to sleep but outdated. The bathroom sink was leaking and the patio sliding door didn’t work. We reported it on multiple occasions, but we were ignored. We decided to give it a quick fix for our stay. Overall, for the price the hotel is good but the Belive Hamaca Hotel next door is much better with better facilities and entertainment.

The food was not to good. It tasted like if it was reheated from the day before. I Do not recommend ANYONE TO GO FOR A “GOOD TIME” The whole place is a false advertisement the staff try to make you feel comfortable but it just isn’t not all the air conditioning works. I was changed from 4 different suites in 1 night just cause every room had an issue. Not all the rooms have hot water, or a mini fridge to keep your late night snacks staff at the front desk dare no help . And every time I add for the maneger to report a issue they say the manager is not available I give this place 1 star and do not recommend anyone to go there. From my own experience recently. Box Televisions that are black and white I thought this would be more exciting as it looks in pictures but hey don’t let the false advertisement fool you .

Most of you know that I don't usually post to facebook, but we just spent 4 days a this resort and what a great place. Really looking forward to coming back here after our cruise.
Excellent customer service and attentive, friendly staff, grounds and buildings well maintained. Fairly good food, as far as resorts go, even better than the higher end places we stayed at in Cuba and Mexico.
Anyone out there looking for a reàl nice place in the DR, at a very reasonable price, be sure to check this place out.

The most amazing water of the beach! Boca Chica water is up to the shoulders for nearly kilometer up to the surrounding reef, clean and with this Caribbean blue you can see on a picture, no rocks and no seaweed. No mosquitoes, no flies, no sand fleas. Food is tasty, big variety. Just as an example: for our New Year dinner there were lobsters, not before or after, but you could find sushi, Chinese spring rolls, dumplings, different pastas - lasagna, rigatoni, spaghetti, etc., the main restaurant was open from 11 pm to 6 am for early (late) snack, coffee, fruit juice, the restaurant on the beach had a nice variety of food every day, the service personnel was kind, no hints to give them tip, if you wish only. The garden in the hotel is gorgeous, palm trees and flowers everywhere, very clean, every morning you will meet people who maintain the area. Guards are everywhere on the beach on your way to the beach, they would stop the traffic for you the cross the street. You feel secure.
On the bad site - our room was big with comfortable beds, but the rest was to be renovated. The bathtub was old and the shower wasn't functioning properly. Since we wanted to enjoy our stay, instead of complaining, since the hotel was full and obviously no extra available rooms, we just brought shampoo and soap with us to the beach every day and showered there. No big deal.
If you want to buy internet, you can do it at the hotel theater. for $25 US you may buy 25 hours of internet valid for 6 days. Just make sure you disconnect from WiFi when you finish using it. Otherwise it will be exhausted too fast. WiFi usually is reachable on the beach, at the theater, reception, most parts of the garden in the hotel, but not always in the room, not in the main restaurant.
Overall, great experience at Belle Vue Dominican Bay. If you have a chance, we highly recommend you visit Santo Domingo: the cave ''Les Tres Ojos'', the Christopher Columbus House, The cathedral, the Lighthouse of Columbus, etc. If you haven't see Saona Island - just beautiful. But be prepared: you will be photographed and offered to buy a set of professional photos for 30$, then they will offer you a bottle of rum with your photo on the label for 30$. Not obligation to buy though, but to let you know.
As a conclusion I would say - for New Year vacation - it was the best place to be. The weather was perfect! Thank you!

This is going to be the longest and most detailed review I have ever done. This is the worst all inclusive I have ever been to and I have been to many. First off our room.the beds are hard as rocks. In fact, so hard I have barely slept since our arrival and almost thinking of sleeping in my rental car instead. Also our TV did not work at all. It turned on but there was no cable so you couldn't get any channels. It took 3 phone calls and us actually disconnecting the lame box they have and bringing it to the front desk before someone actually arrived and ended up replacing both the TV and the cable box. We did have warm shower water but the water pressure is not great. Our patio looks out to a rock wall with razor wire over the top. The bathroom is old, rusty and just is unkept. Our slider to the patio does not lock. You have to pay extra for the security box and wifi is not free. Now, on to the rest..the floors in most paces like reception desk area, in every building where they have the rooms located and the buffet dining room are VERY dangerously slippy. Saw one guy bite it bad and there were some locals that just stood there and laughed instead of helping him up. The pools were always very dirty. In fact, the pool decks were very large pools of water which were not maintained well. There is a large play area for kids. Would be quite nice if it was not full of Mud water. We asked the front desk to give us a wake up call. They asked us to call back in a half hour. We never did so we did not get our requested wake up call. They do have a couple of snack areas because dining room has specific hours. What they served was hamburger (not sure it is actually beef) hot dogs (which are definitely not beef) Some sort of rice mixture and at one point had some pasta but was runny and not even done. Ok so Dining room (which is buffet), we had no service, no water, or napkins or silverware and they don't serve any alcohol (that we know of because nobody served us at anytime) in the dining room. The only service you get really is someone coming to take your plate when your done. There are always many dirty tables so they don't quite stay on top of that. Our first and second breakfast, there was no meat at all except for some sandwich type sliced ham. The food selection nor taste was very good. Our last evening there, our room key stopped working so we went to the front desk to get a new one and that one didnt work either so we went back again and again, that key didnt work. My husband ended up climbing over the patio railing and getting in through the slider door that never locked. Now on to the good, the bar staff are very friendly and we actually had some kind of service. Of course, we did tip them which is very well received. The stand out in the staff is Franchesco. He provided table service at our last breakfast, then at lunch and the beach bar area. They do have beach beds but they are so torn up and unkept, i would never lay there. In fact, they just let the rain water soak them rather than putting them away at needed times. It is a very large place with a little theatre area where they had a couple of small events. There is a nice walkway to the beach. Beaxh area isnt bad but vendors were very close by. This is right in town so it's very close to shops and restaurants. This place is a European and Ukrainian hot spot. We only saw a couple of Americans. We were not greeted well and many were very rude.

I'm disappointed there was not hot water in the room, the TV is not flat, the dinner yesterday was the same thing we lunched, there is no variety in the food, their strength is the human service, animation, the bars, even the snack bars are abandoned. I won't come back

    This resort is the worst!!
First of all we did have early check in on our voucher and when we arrived at the resort, they were telling us that there is not such thing as a early check in, we also spoke with the Menager, Alejandro was his name, and he will tell us that we need to pay extra money for the early check in etc, being very rude at the same time!!
Than at the end after they determined our early check-in, the manager, Alejandro and the supervisor as well, shouted to the other employee " give me the number of their room ", because he prepared the " revenge " for us; so when we get to the bedroom he will " pay" us back with it!
We are a married couple and they put us in a bedroom with two separate beds and no signal at the tv, worst bedroom ever, worst conditions ever!
I don't think that they should treat costumers like this, especially when the costumers is asking only for their rights ( which in this case was the early check in that I already paid for at the time of booking the resort)
I do have a video that I will post as well, but if anyone wants the video before, please write to me, and also please don't spend your money here!!

You get what you pay for ! Friendly staff, guest service - multilingual, always helping, just takes some time. Cool disco, sadly no free wifi - only because of the lack of Internet it looses a star.

If I could rate it in negative stars I would. The customer service was horrible. The employees at the front desk disrespectful, rude, unsympathetic and disorganized. The treated the guests like animals. A slurpee machine at 7-11 has more personality. The rooms were out dated. The ac didn't work nor the television and when called to advise we just got the run around. Spent 3 VERY uncomfortable days there. At least the food was half decent and the wait staff was superb. You get what you pay for.

Overall my wife and I are happy with our decision to stay here at the BelleVue Dominican Bay for one week for just over $250 each. The rooms are out dated, unsecured (locks on slider broken) and beds hard as a rock. Electricity fails often and locals flooded the resort with rude and unwelcomed behavior. This is a place where you surely do not want to leave the resort, or get too close to the walls for that matter. From a business standpoint there are many things that can be improved, starting with check-in; We checked in on a Saturday, a day many many locals were checking in, all at the same time. There was no one to direct us on what to do, and the "line" was to the street. Many people were cutting the line with no consequence. I finally get to the front where I was ignored and they were calling on people behind me, one guy screamed no Americans and this as well as the croud of over 70 frustrated people caused my wife to panic, and after all the locals were taken care of they finally checked us in, gave us a map, a key and pointed toward our building with no further direction. If the company advertises to tourists they should have a tourist guide or at least someone welcoming people that aren't locals and directing them on what to do, it was a free for all. The entire process of handing me a key took from 3pm (check in time) to 4:15pm. Two star reduction, no welcome person, no welcoming feeling. We got to the room and thought there was no electricity, but soon found out we need to stick our key card in a slot in the wall to activate our room like other two star hotels in Central/Southern America. The air conditioner did not turn on. We explored the room, the beds are hard, no real comfort there at all. The room is swept but the tile grout was old and stained, a small balcony with absolutely no views, a standard hotel bathroom with no proper drainage and the tub filled up when showering, 2 beds a little smaller than a double, and outdated TV (not planning on watching TV anyway. Don't expect much out of the room, the plug sockets did not hold my device plugs in the wall, and I had to unplug the TV and one lamp to plug in the devices. There are random cheap stickers on the doors and windows from kids that were never pealed off, makes it look a bit 1star. We quickly got dressed and explored. The three bars are PACKED on the weekends with the locals, the snack bar as well. But you can get a drink in less time than a local pub on a busy night. The cups are less than 8 ounces, maybe six, the size of a martini glass 3/4 filled. After drinking away the flight and day hassles we returned to the room, no AC until we figured the breaker was flipped. Nice cool night. I have 3g on my phone plan here, but if you need Wi-Fi you can pay by the day, hour, half hour, or rent a mifi device for 50 USD to take with you anywhere you go. The pools are nice, VIP style outdoor lounge beds (about 4) and beach lounge chairs for late wakers. First come first serve, and you find the same at the beach that is only a 3 minute walk across a cat walk above the neighborhood, dilapidated buildings. You can see the inclusions, there is a lot, and at they own about 20 to 30 thousand square feel on the beach that the peddlers are not aloud in, makes nice not to get harassed while relaxing. One entire staff upgrade just for that. The water is crystal clear, blue, and the beach sand is what you would expect on the Caribbean side. The breakers or rocks stacked about a kilometer out, along with a small island keep the water calm, perfect for water sports. During the weekend there is a festival type gathering a few hundred locals with extremely loud music, tents set up, just right next stor on the beach. During the week it is calm, light local tunes, more relaxing. The place feels like a time share with soliciting offices for other vacation destinations right near the small pool, they site you a video and try to get you to buy a more luxurious vacation.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS HOTEL. This hotel may be better during busy seasons, but the way we were treated is unacceptable. The hotel amenities are not bad. The rooms need A LOT of renovations, AC did not work, water was broken and it smells horrible. This place is dirty. They sent a technician, which took 3 days to come. The manager of the hotel was very rude when we asked to accommodate a small group.

I wouldn't suggest this hotel to anyone.
