Ok hotel, resort like, bad customer service, rooms need some touch of renovation and maintenece, most likely a one shot deal staysorry!

Beautiful beach crystal clear blue water, the only downside is all the sellers that come to you offering what they sell but they are very friendly.

Lovely location. Pretty. I reserved a Double with Full Ocean View. Upon Check In I was given the room I paid for as if they were doing me a favor.
Why, you ask?
Check In - 3 hour wait (I asked for early Check In and specified the time. If that was going to be the case dont ask guest about early or late check in)
Preferences/Prejudices - the hotel has two color wristbands (blue and silver). As per Reception blue is more for families and silver is for more privacy. You have to purchase "Adults Only Option". Reception was explaining this to me as he put on silver bracelets on 2 PreTeens. Also, I told him I wasn't given the option. He brought up the site which I purchased the stay and ofcourse, it wasn't there. Silver bracelets get different food, entertainment and I imagine all-round-service.
Best for Last - CUSTOMER SERVICE -
Tip my Hat off to the Dining/Cooking Areas. Very Nice and Courteous.
Reception---If you think about it. You earned and paid for your own vacation. At the very least you expect common courtesy. Not available here. Service with a smile, here comes with Service with a smile and attitude.
Entertainment - too busy on other side or non-existent
Parking Attendant - always on internet or talking on the phone
Pool/Beach Towels are not included. A Deposit is needed. (At Reception 😂😂)

The beach area is beautiful, white sand, beach sports and the Marina makey where you can take boat cruises, island lunch and fishing trips O I forgot to mention that's a restaurant as well. The hotel is good for the price The room might need some updates. The food it's not that good, and not that much stuff It's definitely one of the biggest hotels in Boca Chica. The beach it's not private So you will be offering different things all the time.

This is now Wala! Beach Resort. Didn't honor my reservation. "All you can drink" from a 4oz. cup. "All you can eat" from a buffet. You're much better waiting the 1.5-2 hours for the hamburger and hotdog grill to open. That meant dinner at 11pm. It wasn't expensive, but I was expecting decent. The food and beverage staff were great. No complaints there. The front desk is a cluster. They even ran out of BEER for all day! For a bar at a beach??? The chefs, servers, and bartenders are the only reason they didn't get a 1 star.

The pool looks terrible and food to me was not good. Have to admit room was perfectly clean but everything is old fashioned. I didn't like it at all. Also my mom friend during lunch saw a cockroash close to the plates. They just sold the hotel and now have a new owner and administration. Hope they can make good changes.

This review is only about the hotel itself. My group and I were evacuated to this hotel during Hurricane Irma and I was so glad that it was only 1.5 days. The structure itself is outdated and the rooms are run down. I personally would not recommend this resort but only because I prefer more modern, newer rooms. The food was average, but there are some good dishes. The beach was public and could be overrun with locals trying to sell their items or illicit drugs.
The highlight for me was the staff! They were extremely friendly and went out if their way to make our stay as good as it could possibly be given the circumstances. They were definitely the highlight! I was celebrating my birthday and casually mentioned it to the food coordinator and he came back with an assortment of cakes with a candle and sung to me! This is just one example of how great the staff is.response / report this review -

Customer service is unbelievable and a cabaña I'm the city is nicer and cleaner than the bedroom which I got upgraded to a suite Definitely not worth time or money.

If I could give zero I would. The saddest part is that people actually go for vacations there. Nothing worked, place was dirty, food terrible. I love Boca Chica but stay away from this place

Ive been here 2 times and I love it! Its close to the beach so you dont have to walk far. The food is great and the rooms are very clean. If you are into having the beach open to the locals so you can shop than this is the place to be. Just be ready for them cause they dont stop lol. The lounge opens at night for dancing and the workers put on a great show at night. Please make sure to tip these people that work there. They are work all day and night. Im planning to go back this April!

It is what it says for a resort nothing hidden here. We arrived late and there was no one to orientate us with the hotel. The other guests were mainly European so being a group of English speaking Canadians we found it hard to figure things out about the area and hotel. The area is very noise polluted but if your looking to see the sights and sounds that would probably be alrite. Quiet time was generally from 12-6am
Food was not very bad. Only one al a carte restraunt included on the resort not 5 as described previouslyno food is available before 7am if you are leaving early For an excursion.
Rooms were sub par. Airconditioning is very loud works very well, but it wakes you up when it kicks in. Bathroom door and patio door would not close properly. We Also had issues with getting our beach towels exchanged. May have been a language barrier but took 7 hours to get new towels after speaking to 10 or more employees.
Bottom line a nice resort for a budget price with low expectations but NOT an English speaker bf freindly resort!!!response / report this review -

Wonderful experience when we went very friendly locals and staff. We went a year ago and look forward to going again. People complain about the local beggars don't realize how poor these people really are.
