  This is the best food that we had in the Dominican Republic. We are staying at one of the local Resorts (sunscape, which is TERRIBLE) and the food was absolutely inedible so we ate here twice a day for the entire stay and didn't eat the same thing twice.

  Green Jacktar is adjacent to the resort, Blue JackTar with apartments for rent beside it and hotel accommodations.
  
  Overall, the food was quite good and made from fresh ingredients in house. Many of the staff didnt speak English well which made it difficult to communicate. Service was hit and miss as we came here 4 days out of the week we stayed. There were days their credit card machine didn't work and took forever to pay (a day they told me my credit card was the issue. But I was able to use it elsewhere).
  
  I felt that you got better service if you spoke Spanish.
  
  My favourite dish there was the Risotto with steak (Vacio). Their gnocchi was also excellent!
  
  Our very favourite part of this restaurant was the bartender, Luis. He was really a star 🌟! Joyous, made great recommendations on beverages, understood his customers and really kind and cares. He made the place so much better.
  
  Overall, a good place to go. Live music during weekends, too.

  Great food. Staff is very cordially and professional. The ambient is agradable. Location is a little bit far from the center of the city of Puerto Plata, but easy access and the beach is just few steps away to the restaurant. Food price is reasonable. The only complain is Dominican timer, so, if you're a foreign be aware that you'll receive your order long time late, a mean, very late. This is one aspect of the culture that is hard for a foreign, but for a Dominican it is normal. If they just chance this and start to serve you right way, this would be a incredible difference.

  Nice fusion of Caribbean/Latin and International dishes, good service and a pleasant outdoor covered dining experience. Also has a play area separate but nearby for the children.

  El lugar como esperaba, amplio y abierto a dos pasos de la playa y con vista al campo de golf. La comida excelente, las croquetas de jamon y queso, la carne y las "cativias" pero lo que me dejo el paladar emocionado fue el carpaccio muy recomendable se estas por la zona de Playa Dorada. Destacar tambien que cuentan con parque de juegos para niños, un exito si estas en familia.

  Blue Jack Tar and Green Jack are awesome. We stayed there once and came back a week later and stayed again because we liked it so much. The rooms are clean and the food at Green Jack is great.
  
  The hotel/restaurant isn't all inclusive, however for the price of a room for two plus dinner and more drinks than we should have had, we saved money vs staying at an all-inclusive. Not only did we save, but the service here is far better than the all-inclusives. It's quiet and comfortable too.
  
  Next time we're in Dominicana, I will stay here.
