Great place, the staff were nice for the most part. Very clean and attentive. The food was very good. The rooms were clean and very nicely decorated. Fridge always filled with beverages (beer, water and soda) The beach was very clean and beautiful. I’m definitely going back here again. Very soon.
They accommodate my mother very well
which is disabled
I stayed at this resort for 14 days as regular guest with red braclet room 4216 (april 15 to 29) and here my thoughts.
Hotel is good, solid 4 stars. Food has been great and lots of variety.
Beach needs more maintenance in managing sea weed. Also not enough shade at the waterfront. Every morning has been a constant struggle to get a spot under few available trees.
Stuff has been friendly and try their best to help. It was 3 days later that my broken Tv got replaced, phone didn't work and has not been fixed in 2 weeks of my stay. Rooms look great on pictures (from the hotel) but in reality could use some TLC. Entertainment was not so great in general, a bit boring if you are under 50.
All in all, stay was good, but there still room to improve.
Very friendly staff here. Very beautiful beach and good food.
I would definitely go back, all staff worked very had to ensure guests are having a good time.
We had a great week at this resort. Our room overlooked the pool. Short walk to the beach. The food was awesome! We went on a few excursions that were reasonably priced and very worth it. Resort is family friendly, even though we traveled as a group of adults. Staff is friendly and some speak up to 4 languages: spanish, english, french, and german. I would recommend this resort to anyone looking to visit.
We as a family enjoyed this resort. It has very nice rooms, beach and pools. The facilily is wonderful with nice palm trees all around. The food quality is really good. The major downside is that there are so few restaurants. I searches around if I can get some snacks such as nachos or fries. All the restaurants are closed. The beach bar and main buffet are the only free options of food. Also, they are both tiny. Even the main buffet is small. There are not that many varieties of food. If u want a burger and fries you have to walk all the way to the beach bar. And, if u want pasta, you have to walk allthe way to the lobby. Another factor is the wifi. If you are counting this resort on wifi, better luck nextime.
Overall, its a decent resort. I won't come back unless they add more food options.
Good points: beach, tranquillity
Could be improved: food, rooms, wifi, cleanliness of the restaurant, small swimming pool.
Negatives: No free in-room safe, loads of mosquitos, flies in the food.
And after seeing a dead rat next to our breakfast table, my appetite was spoiled so I ended up skipping breakfast for the rest of my holiday.
Wonderful experience, simply put. The hotel and location are exquisite, the rooms are georgous and the food is great. I haven't been to that many resort yet to compare, but it could easily compete and win in terms of luxury against the Melia Cayo Coco 5 star (Cuba) we've just been at. It isn't as big and might not have all the extra services, but if you aren't affraid of losing on a gym (who goes to the gym during vacation anyways?) and few other thing, it's seriously a gem of a place.
Welcoming country. As much as people told me to be aware it was a dangerous place, we felt safe and appreciated by the staff and also the resident of the nearby town.
Even though the Melia was a nice place, we regretted not picking this place again.
Newly renovated rooms. Beautiful resort.
I don't recommend this place to anyone. Old and shabby. Surrounding is amazing, but resort and service is really bad.
The Hotel was just awful! The downgraded me from select to normal and don't told me anything about that. They are also not giving me the money back! So the Hotel is a big construction zone. The employees are so rude and would never say sorry for something they did wrong. The air conditioner and the minibar are not working. Also the room is not complete. I have no hair dryer and a lot of stuff in the bath is also not there. In the night there's always a fire alarm very loud. The WiFi costs 35 Dollar per week per device. Hotspot not possible. So I had to pay 140 Dollars for two weeks. The download rate was like 1.25 Mb per second and Upload like 0.25 Mb per seconds. And it disconnects you every 3 minutes. Sometimes it's down for about 10 hours or more. The aquarium is just a shame. they destroy the reef by feeding the fishes and putting them in the auquarium which is located in the sea.
I would not recommend to stay there.
We visited this place in February 2013. We had a great time here. The beaches were nice. Great selection of food. Bottled water for all food being cleaned. Very clean rooms. A little village is only a 5 minute walk away. A few topless sunbathers on the beach. We would definitely go back.
Service is great if you are not a local they lean to treat tourist better can't progress if you don't treat you own people like everyone else.
My husband and I went on holiday here at the end of May into the first week of June, 2015. We had a wonderful time. The weather was great, it rained at night twice, but did not interrupt our trip. The bar always had anything we wanted, there was always a great choice of food, awesome fresh fruit delivered to our room daily, cappacinos by the pool at night are amazing. I can't say enough. It was beautiful, the people were wonderful, and even the gift shop has tons of stuff for us last minute.
