Podvod s konmi, pozor natoho podvodnika na fotce, nuti Vam kone za 40 usd pro dva, pritom se tam da dojit v pohode pesky a bez problemu
Scam with the horses, watch that scammer on the picture, make your horses for 40 usd for two, but there's a nice dick and trouble
Waterfall was beautiful food at the resturaunt was delicious. But some of the horses were so scared up from being beat with twigs it was heartbreaking.
Beautiful waterfalls. There’s a smaller one and a Big one. It was a great hike and horse ride. The guides are paid only by tips so they will let you know that since they don’t get an hourly wage. There’s many people that want to guide you go go with them for a horse guided tour but if you want to save money you can hike it yourself. It’s about 30-40 minute hike and the grail is laid out for you so you can totally do it on your own. There’s also multiple ways to enter the waterfalls.
The waterfall is clearly beautiful. But it is also a very touristic place. The horseback ride was rather disappointing as the horses were constantly controlled by the guides. Nice for beginners but boring if you've already been on a horse. I felt like there wasn't a lot to see or do despite the waterfall.
Such a fantastic place to see! If traveling by car, stop and park at Casa Nega (not one of the obvious tourist traps). We paid a mild parking fee, and hired a "guide" who took us on a shortcut and took pictures/watched our stuff while we Swam and explored. There are actually two waterfalls, a smaller one down below. Fun place to swim as well.
Crowded, but very nice site. Highly recommend getting there on horseback if it has been rainy
The food was wonderful. Everyone was so friendly. The restaurant and the shops were clean and nicely decorated.
Spectacular waterfall set in the jungle. The trek there is challenging, but part of the allure. Don't miss it!
Beautiful place, the journey to it was incredible I would recommend anyone who visits Dominican republic to at least take a day to come there and enjoy the site.
Amazing experience! A lot of walking, scary horse ride along the mountains leading to the falls. Breathtaking mountain views and falls view! Just an incredible experience.
Can you believe this Awesome natural Resource is found in Las Terrenas? The only way to reach the natural waterfall is by horse riding and after you ride for 20 to 25 minutes, you need to be ready for the adventure to go down the mountain walking for 10-15 minutes till you get to the natural pool. You'll need to know how to ride a horse for sure!!! because the fountain or sanctuary is hidden in the middle of the mountains! The riding tour guides walk Infront or behind your horse and take you all the way to the very top of the mountain. Then, the tour guides wait for you at the top of the mountain taking care of your belongings and properties while you enjoy the refreshing cooling pool.
Suggestions: Hand rails, wood bridges, concrete steps made out of rocks or contains would-be a plus and will make this adventure easier for the tourist and locals as well to enjoy to the fullest!!!
The government needs to place their hands in terms of making a finantial investment in this natural resource that can be exploit to the maximum! They need to secure the safety of tourist and locals due to the fact that in case of raining the road can be quite slippery and a bit dangerous! Even though it is an amazing breath taking natural hidden resource!
The average cost per person is $40-50 dollars. Don't forget to be ready to tip the tour guides and most of all prepare for an excellent warming typical cost banquet meal when you return from your adventure!
I truly recommend this exciting adventure!
Excellent place to live an adventure! You have the option to go walking or riding a horse. I've done it both ways. Either way, ensure of using confortable shoes to get wet and protect your feet. The fall is majestic, the water is really cold. I personally do not recommend to take small children to the trip because due to the slippery mud it can be risky. However, fhe first time I went I was around 11 yeas old.
An incredible adventure to the falls! It definitely requires good mobility and stamina to climb stairs. Bring shoes that you can swim with, the rocks will hurt bare feet. Make sure you tip the guides, they don't get any other money from the tour. They're very helpful if you want pictures with your own phone and will carry bags while you swim. They keep the horses moving and you safe!
The waterfall itself is beautiful, it does have a number of steps up and down to arrive, however we expected this as you're in the forest etc.
Caution if you do the horse trek which most people do, we were extorted on the way back, as happened to a few people we spoke to. They stopped our horses and pulled to the side and said that they weren't paid by the company and we had to pay them $20 USD each to continue. Luckily we only had the equivalent of $5 anyhow so handed this over to return. We were happy to tip and had already discussed doing so.
I spoke to our guide and he apologised and said this was not common, however three from our group of 8 had this happen to them. Be warned.
There are 3 waterfalls, the highest one - 50 meters. A very beautiful place, worth a visit. To waterfalls from the road you can easily get by yourself. The main thing is not to succumb to the provocations of the local people. The first provocation - you are overtaken by a man on a moped, he says he is a worker of waterfalls, so that you go after him. In fact - a local, from which no benefit. The second provocation - a sign near the road - a waterfall lemon near the institution. Stop there, they tell you that it is here that the road to the waterfalls begins and "this boy will guide you." Ride a little longer. The entrance to the waterfalls is exactly where the navigator shows. There again they will offer you a guide for $ 10. In his services there is no point. The road to the waterfalls is one, to go along it is not difficult, the main thing is that the shoes are comfortable and designed for walking on the water. Entrance to the waterfalls - 50 pesos. There are no more costs there
Absolutely beautiful place! Most trips to the falls go by horseback (that I know of) and you are accompanied by a guide. My guide was very helpful and willing to out of his way to help and take photos on my behalf. Of course, they are hoping for tips and it's recommend to give them one. They deserve it. The condition of the horses was a not the best sadly, but unfortunately it's something most people over look due to the conditions in the DR. I went in August of 2016 and would gladly visit again.
amazing water falls, NOW the part they don't tell you is the 90+ steps you have to go down to get to the gorgeous water falls. all worth it once you see its beauty. (remember after you 20-30min dip you have to climb those 90+ steps. enjoy. great place, amazing tour guides. tip big the deserve every penny after walking the whole way there.
The waterfall is quite a walk in the middle of a "jungle".
So it might be a good idea to take the offer for a ride with a small horse.
They are used to it and they are fineI dont know about the guides who
would walk beside youits a hard job for them.
Anywaythe last 500 meter or so have to be walked by foot.
Depending on the time of the year you will arrive "wet", because it is very hot for a walk by foot.
So at the incredible waterfall you would just take a few minutes in the cold and crystal clear water. Always a bit fog in the airjust an amazing place!
