Best place to spend the day. Try to choose boat from government authorised which is cheap compare to private / individuals. Better avoid at summer session

We took a boat and went through the ocean to here. It's an amazing journey. Also, it's pretty awesome in the cave, and we climbed a lot. If you are a outsider or you like adventures, do not miss here!

This was the highlight of my trip! It is breathtaking. We took a boat tour from Floras Tours around the beautiful limestone island coast and inside multiple caves. Definitely make time to visit this place!

Very beautiful and well preserved. The caves are lovely though not that deep or intricate. The mangroves are cool, too. Beautiful, but not necessarily awe inspiring.

OMG I was at projecto Caño Hondo is very close to The National Park Los Hatises is amazing those natural pools , the hotel made with stone, the climate. is the real paradise.

The mangroves and wildlife are certainly impressive and the caves were very interesting. Unfortunately we did a tour that spent most of the time at the caves, where the guides talk, often inaudibly, and not enough time viewing the mangroves. If you can, spend more time exploring this amazing natural wonder, and less time following a big tour group.

Fun excursion. Talk to some of the locals who can take you from Samana to the Taino Indian caves, then to the mangroves, and finally Cayo Levantado. If you do this from December to March, there is a good chance that you will see some whales breaching.

From sea it looks bit like Halong bay (Vietnam). Beautiful rock formations on the coast, nice cave systems to visit. Good for kayak trip too.

The park was established in 1976 and is currently 1,242 square miles. Its name comes from the language of the aboriginal people, the Taino, and means “hilly land.” Most of the limestone keys, or small islands, are haystack formations ranging from 66 to 131 feet tall. Many are topped with trees and looking closer, Magnificent Frigatebirds and Brown Pelicans were roosting on the branches. The limestone cliffs of the larger keys and how their starkness contrasted with the lush flora. More than a hundred species of birds have been identified in the park and according to my guide, more than a thousand plant species.

The place is great, the tour makes you see all the wonderful nature surrounding you and understand dominican history through the caves' paintings.
