The service is 50% of a good restaurant experience and of such our dinner party of nine was already off to a bad start as the waiter slammed forks and knives on the table. We had lunch at the Salon'en restaurant, which is opposite of the hotel. The waiter had very little knowledge about the food though the menu was extremely small with for instance just two deserts to choose from. The food could have saved the experience, but unfortunately it was at best mediocre cafeteria food. I had the worst pasta dish ever, which felt like overcooked pasta in a thick sauce that tasted like a bad bearnaise sauce. 5 of the others had a filet. When we asked if it had been in the frying pan, the waiter insisted it had been butter roasted and he had sold them in thousand without one single complaint. Well, it was dry and with a crust that could kill. The best way to describe this place is that it is a tourist trap of the worst kind. Low quality food and very high prices compared to the quality you are getting. There are so many good places to eat in Viborg, so don't waste your time on this one, unless it is for the view, which is the only thing that is good here.

Excellent service, food and guidens in thermes of providing information too turist about placeses too go to in and around Viborg. But the place, (hotel and salone), could use a makeover. Its a bit out off date.

The location of the hotel is nice, next to a lake any many green spaces. The hotel itself is clean but does not meet the 4 stars standard in my opinion. I had hairs in the shower, the room is OK but does not meet the 4 stars standard. There is no toilet near the restaurant and you have to use a handicap toilet or to walk a little bit. But the food in the restaurant is very good.

I was at Golf Hotel Viborg for attend at my grandpas birthday party, he had rented the dinning room, so this is about thier food and service. The service is really good, the workers there was really nice and you could see they knew what they was doing, the food was okay, not as premium as they make it out to be, but it was not bad either, i would say that its in the middle, i could taste that they had not made all the food by them selfs, some of it tasted like it had been produced at a fabric, but the things they did make by them selfs tasted wonderfull! How ever the dishes wasn't as clean as i think they should have been, some of the plates got tiny stickes on them, and the dinning room seems outdated. I cant say much about the pricing since i didn't pay, but what i can say is that it is known to be one of the more higher priced places here.
